Pizza Express - Carte

The garlic mushrooms were overcooked, the pizza was cold and undercooked, and they couldn't even make a coffee. It felt like the experience of a motorway service station was put into Pizza Express, rather than the other way around.

beautiful pizza with the same trips as the high street, although it is located at a service station. the pizza was nothing special just basic and a few toppings supplement. it was empty when I went about midday, but the staff was helpful, I ended up with two pizzas.

I ate here last night because the hotel where I was staying had a closed kitchen. The restaurant was empty when I arrived, so I was seated promptly. I have sampled nearly all of the vegan options at Pizza Express and my favorite is their vegan cheese pizza! They have a separate vegan menu that even includes vegan alcohol. My go-to choice is the Giardiniera pizza with extra toppings, especially mushrooms. Their chili and garlic oil options are also delicious. The service is friendly and helpful - what's not to love!

The service at this restaurant was exceptional, with friendly young women providing top-notch customer service. Even though one of the servers seemed upset, she still did an outstanding job. However, the chef appeared to be rude and annoyed with the staff. Furthermore, I noticed her repeatedly removing her hair net while cooking, which ultimately led to me finding a hair in my pizza.

It was a wonderful break from the road and much more peaceful than the chaos that typically comes with highway rest stops. It was also reassuring to see the thorough cleaning of tables and seating areas. This is not something we often see, especially in light of the past two years of COVID. I went to this restaurant for lunch and had a great experience. I ordered the vegan dough balls, which were delicious especially with the chili sauce. I even added some of the sauce to my pizza. I tried the vegan mushroom pizza, which was also very tasty. The menu listed another name for it. Additionally, my friend who is gluten free was able to find options like gluten free dough balls, pasta, and pizza crust. This restaurant is accommodating for everyone.

The service was very quick, as we arrived at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night and the restaurant was relatively empty. The staff were good, although the greeting could have been more friendly. The starter arrived at the same time as the main course, which wasn't a problem for me. A major plus is that the prices are comparable to those on the high street, which is a rarity as most places tend to inflate their prices in tourist areas. Unfortunately, the option to make payments through the Pizza Express app is not available at this restaurant.

We arrived at this restaurant at 9pm on a Friday after a long drive from Yorkshire. Since we were staying at the Ramada hotel, we decided to forgo the usual takeaway and opted for a proper sit-down meal with our elderly parents and a bottle of wine.
