"the reception was unfortunately already bumpy. we were after a short rain shower at the restaurant and wished a table in the outside area. enough staff was ready to use, but felt little to be provided in the standing places. we then had luck and got a clean place, other guests were sent away, and only a dry cloth needed. we could now enjoy the lukewarm summer evening directly on the new market with the wonderful women's church. why one gets only one food card per table remained unanswered to me, but we are flexible...The card is okay- but I had to visit earlier more originality in memory .... that has not convinced us at the end - there was no weeping recommendation. our opinion should be found back here to old ways, especially the service personnel, which was powerfully busy with themselves, but rarely with the hospitable, must be trained here....There is simply a lot too good competition when you should rest alone on the good situation!"

I've tried two pizzas, Margherita and Marinara, and both were tasty, but disappointing. The Margherita did not use fresh mozzarella but rather the...

the pizza is a good self-made pizza that is not exceptional. the location is very beautiful. especially in summer you can stay here in the heart of dresden under free sky right next to the women's church.

a restaurant with a great location right at the Frauenkirche. In the evening you can see and hear street musicians. rather smaller selection of pizzas, for that very tasty. prices are for the situation in order.

We were staying in Dresden for the best part of a week and Piazza Nova became our preferred evening place to eat. There is a great atmosphere and buzz about the place the food was good and the staff though busy were on the ball....More

very friendly and attentive service, in contrast to another location also at the women's church the total contrast program affects service and customer friendliness. sher praiseworthy as I expressed my other assessment that it might be because the toruists are abundant, but this place reads to come back

nicely baked pizza, unfortunately more of the german kind, not really traditional italian. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the location right next to the Frauenkirche. Clean and neat. All in all nothing special but sufficient to quench your hunger after hours of walking in the Altstadt.

so pleasant you cannot enjoy a delicious glass of wine everywhere. right in front of the Frauenkirche, wonderful live music from the square, nice service. so you can decide a nice day. Unfortunately, this time we did not come to eat there, but what went past looked good. we will try the next time but surely. coffee and wein are definitely recommended in a nice environment

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
