My favourite coffee shop in Old Town! Excellent coffee, cakes, and delightful staff. Great place to sit outside too.

love this place just pulled after hastings and I have breakfast here at least once a week. my snorkel lily loves jess who works there. plus fab eclectic music!

Staying open for refreshments during covid lockdown, you pass your order through the open door, money taken by card after being served. Good arrangement, good coffee, and good sandwiches. A little something to boost morale during these testing times. Voir le carte

We had a delicious breakfast at Jack in the Green. The eggs benedict on a muffin were tasty, the ice cream was creamy and delicious - a big reason we returned from last year. We also tried the bacon sandwich, which had high quality bacon cooked perfectly crispy. The staff was busy but still friendly and efficient. We will definitely be coming back again and will be sure to leave a review on TripAdvisor this time.

Nice little coffee shop on a busy competitive George Street. The service was good, although it did take a while for the bill to arrive (in the end I walked to the till myself). It’s slightly odd that the food menu is listed near the door so if you’re sitting outside you have to get up and have a look. The staff were friendly though and enjoyed the food which was great quality. The picture is a shot of the street from my seating spot.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times and should have written a review years ago! The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is warm, and the food is always fresh and well-presented. It tastes like it is cooked with love, as my mother would say. Today, I dined with my vegetarian friend and decided to participate in Veganuary. We both opted for the delicious falafels, hummus, and salad, which were perfect. I highly recommend trying them out! Voir le carte

Must have passed this place so many times and never been in until today.. l desperately needed coffee after my bike ride over from bexhill, l 'm really fussy when it comes to coffee but their double expresso really hit the spot, strong but smooth and well rounded. Waitress/owner was very welcoming and talked me through the cake menu and l went for the guiness cake which was flippin amazing and the cheesecake cream icing complimented it perfectly. We spoke about the menu and decided l 'll be back for lunch soon to try out their 'Sussex Smokie '.. an absolute jem of a place

If you want a quick bite in Hastings, then this is likely the best place. Simply head and shoulders above your average cafe/tearoom. Cakes are all homemade, and absolutely delicious, outstanding actually, 'national bake off ' quality! The savoury food is also top notch, wouldn 't be out of place in a posh restaurant. With attention paid to even the side salads that come with many of the dishes, a lovely selection of lesser used leaves. Quiet when we went, so service was quick and efficient, the place itself is nice too, with tables spaced apart enough to relax, nice vibe here, love it. For the quality the prices are very reasonable too.

Very happy to have stumbled across this little gem today. We were desperate for some indoor seating to get the kids out of the heat and take a break with a nice drink. The layout was well designed and inviting, there was hand sanitizer readily available as we walked in and at our table. The staff member was very polite and welcoming. We didn't purchase any food, however, the display of cakes and pastries was incredibly tempting! There was a menu of cooked items to order, I would describe the prices as moderate but couldn't comment on value for quality/quantity as we didn't see anyone else order food. We were served quickly, I ordered a latte, not too hot, which was served at a perfect temper... Voir le carte
