Had an excellent takeaway, the food was fantastic and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Even with a big order, the food was tasty, hot and all ready on time. On Sunday, June 26th, 2022, we dined at Peking in Fordingbridge. The food was terrible. It tasted like cigarette ash and I suspect it was cooked in dirty oil. The curry sauce was too thick and unpleasant. The grilled toast was burnt and the chips were soggy and small. I would advise against eating at this place.

Only eaten from here once before (in the 5 years I've lived locally and it's not something I'll ever do again. The food was so bad that it all went in the bin. Even my husband who generally eats anything and everything couldn't eat it. It all tasted the same (somehow?! and honestly I was just shocked they have managed to be in business so long. The service at the restaurant was friendly, but the food was disappointing. Out of the four dishes we ordered, only one was somewhat tasty. The chilli beef was dry and difficult to eat, possibly reheated multiple times. The mushroom curry had a strange flavor. Overall, we would not recommend this restaurant. Just like when buying a house, buyer beware when ordering from this take away. If you're craving Chinese food in Fordingbridge, you may have limited options but it's best to look elsewhere. This is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Avoid it at all costs. I wouldn't even give this food to my dog. All four of my children got sick with stomachaches and were bedridden the next day. Everything seems to be cooked in grease and we even found hair in the Chicken Fried Rice. There were no other restaurants open, but I would have preferred to go hungry than feed this to my kids. The prawn toast was undercooked and watery, and the chicken balls were all batter with no chicken inside. This is truly the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever encountered. The service was takeout only.

Don't listen to the moaners on here with their one star reviews. This place is good ! I've been going here on and off for 20 years as I've past through the area and it's always nice. The lady is very kind and friendly and the food super tasty and filling. It is inexpensive as you can see from the menu photos I'm uploading fresh at June 2023) I had the special fried rice which was lovely and the chicken with cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce which is really really tasty. Try for yourself and it won't break the bank, you can even have a quick drink in the bar opposite by the lovely River while you wait so what's not to love about that!

We ordered takeout for four people from this restaurant on a Saturday and only had to wait 40 minutes, which was not bad considering it was a busy night. The restaurant itself appeared very old-fashioned and boring, with a messy bar and obligatory fish tank. The food was hit or miss - we were disappointed to not receive free prawn crackers with our £60+ order. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like congealed vinegar jelly and lacked flavor, while the curry sauce was overly thick and spicy. The chilli beef was dry and lacked the usual sweet and spicy sauce, so I would recommend avoiding that dish. The chicken balls were good, but the sauce was not.
