Paternoster Chop House

We had the haddock, creamy mash, peas and spinach. Fish was nice and fresh, cooked to perfection. Would recommend, great service!

The food was excellent and the service was attentive. The only downside was that the food was served on wooden planks instead of plates.

So over priced for very average food. Steak was over cooked and barely warm for £130 for 2. That's hawksmoor prices for no where near the quality. Gone down hill since it moved Voir le carte

We were ignored for our dinner, service was awful. We had to wait for ages for service in-between courses and when we finished our main course everyone else was.served before us.

We were so disappointed with the mains We all ordered steak and had to send 4 of the 5 back , the meat was tough and chewy The staff were very apologetic and helpful but the food was a total let down

Long weekend in London made so much nicer by superb meal, I had pork chop, delicious , my wife had amazing burger. The bottle of Gavi Di Gavi and relaxing atmosphere was just what was needed after a day of sightseeing and busy streets. Voir le carte

Our waiter was a young chap, who could have been a bit louder when talking to us, and could have looked a bit better presented, as his hair was quite an untidy. Also I feel the pie we ordered at £24 could have at least come with a bit more substance than having to order chips also.

The food at the restaurant was amazing and very enjoyable. However, the service was quite disappointing. It took 20 minutes for us to even place our order, and we had to ask for water for the table three times. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff, as I had to raise my hand multiple times. The staff seemed uninterested and we only received a lackluster apology for the slow service, blaming it on being busy. Despite this, a service charge was still added to the bill. Overall, the great food was overshadowed by the poor service experience.

Food was excellent and served quickly. There were of course on 4 people in the restaurant other than the staff. The steak was really really good and cooked exactly as I had asked for. I thought £3 for some horse radish on the side was ridiculous. The fact the everything is a side at additional cost is a bit much. Nothing was offered included in the price of the steak. So by the time you have say mashed potato, and two veg plus the horse radish you've added £21 to a £43 steak. Pity they no longer have table cloths so it no longer feels like fine dining for a fine dining price. However, the service was excellent as was the food hence the positive rating.
