"We came to this restaurant for a date night and were extremely disappointed. We were seated promptly and placed our order, but after waiting for 50 minutes, our food (pizza and chicken salad) had not arrived, despite other tables receiving their orders. We had to inquire about our food and were told it would be 5 more minutes without any explanation for the delay. When our food finally arrived, I requested some mayo which was brought to our table without any interaction from the staff, as it was clear we were unhappy. The food was average at best, with my friend not even finishing his pizza and me ordering fries separately, unaware that they were supposed to come with my meal (not listed on the menu). When it came time to pay, no one asked if everything was satisfactory with our meal, as they seemed to know we were dissatisfied. It is unfortunate that we had such a negative experience at a place we had been looking forward to trying, and now do not anticipate returning."

Preordered a meal at 1pm for delivery between 18:00 18:30 through Uber eats. At 18:30 we received a message to say that our order had been cancelled and no reason was given. We really want to support local businesses during this crisis however there...is no excuse for such poor communication. We will not consider ordering from here in the future.

the first time when you get this picturesque little restaurant near wigan railway station. service was excellent, eating was fantastic. had the 3 curs Sunday lunch menu. 1 garlic mushrooms (oh my gott they were amazing) and 1 garlic bread with cheese (again amazing) for main course 1...x bark meat and 1 x huhn dinner the meat was so succulent and the food boiled to perfection (you had to leave place for the puddings) then chocolate fudge cake and homemade apple cake (again absolutely)

Lovely food and great service. We ordered the Sunday set menu, beef and chicken. The food was delicious and plentiful. I'm always a little wary of going for the Sunday lunches feeling they will be mass produced and lacking flavour. This is not so at...Pat and Dad kitchen. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The beef was so lovely and tender. As well as the food the staff are really exceptional and took good care of us. My friend is disabled and he was well taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were served by a lovely blond lady, sorry I didn't catch your name. Keep up the good work team.

gutted, not what I expected at all! read so many reviews on the wigan food reviews group that I really was looking forward to a visit. had the 2 curs Sunday afternoon garlic mushrooms and the Sunday mittagsburger. the mushrooms were in order, the burger was...terrible said it came with a yorkshire pudding bun I at least expected it a hone made yorkshire- they were frozen. the burger was dry, the frying gum and the cauliflower was the most disgusting thing I've ever put in my mouth. I don't understand why they put a mixture of seasoning on veg that is for a roast. I never leave food, but I left a lot on the plate. I stay with the old bandage house for a decent roast in the future as they are...

We visited on a Saturday night 2 adults 2 kids, we turned up 20 minutes early and was seated straight away. We sat upstairs, 10 minutes later a group of 12 women/Neanderthals turned up and was very rude and loud, we asked to be moved...as we had two kids and didn’t want them to hear the language coming out of their mouths! The moved us downstairs straight away even though they were very busy! Food was perfect without a fault! Cocktails were lovely! We ordered the kids two mock tails, however one child didn’t like his (we tried to tell him but he insisted he wanted that one) we asked if we could upgrade the mocktail and my partner would drink it, this was done without question and not even ch...

came with friends for a quiznacht in mortys. it was a nice evening until bar staff/persons in bar area walk to all tables at closing time. they gave no “last orders” and there were no polite “we are closed at midnight, so please stop...to their drinks” in front of him strikingly midnight. around 12:01 the employees cried out in the bar: 'to prepare and scrape their drinks now' and then shouted that each of 12:03 ‘F off’ ‘**** off’ ‘draw out’. the security was just about not doing anything and talking to others. an extremely rude and unpleasant end of the night, it is not what they want to do if they have only opened for the internal business. it is understandable personal wanting to go and g...

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
