"Been coming here on and off for years family have been working here for a number of years too and not always had good food but not one to moan but tonight was the worse experience for a long time been to watch a show to be pulled up for saying balls !! In a convo with my friend to then my family join us ready to go watch the show to then again the same lady say the doors are open u need to go in the other side !!!! Why was that her choice and how rude was that when we had drinks left still absolutely stuck up behaviour for her to look down at me when I first walked in to then pull me up trying to embarrass me and then start on my mum and family to get in the other side when Infact we could leave when we wanted to and still had drinks to finish is outrageous the food is not brill and the prices are outrageous but I’d always come back odd times and never complain but her behind the bar and wants sacking or learning to be nice to people"

We inquired about a vegetarian option instead of the meat dish at the carvery, and the server dismissively responded that it would just be vegetables. This was not the kind of response we were hoping for in today's age.

Attended Ali Bongo’s children’s play area with my daughter for a friend’s birthday party to be told I had to pay for my newborn son. I literally had to pay to sit and breastfeed him in a cafe. Ridiculous policy of charging infants who are too young to play.

We booked Pleasures Hotel as we were visiting friends in the area . Room was basic. Spacious and clean . Breakfast was not included on the price we paid, so we decided in the morning to add it on . We thought £15 each for full English was a bit steep ! Staff very friendly.

We revisited the Ragdolls restaurant and found the meal to be very good. However, we found that the drinks were overpriced, with the gin and tonic being the smallest portion we've ever received. Additionally, there were instances where we were given incorrect change, but when we brought it to their attention, they immediately corrected the error. It seems like they are aware of these issues and are quick to address them.

Sat 23rd Dec. Festive Afternoon Tea Attended the festive afternoon tea which was held in the banqueting suite. The room is a good room for an event with good facilities. Afternoon tea consisted of delicious range of sandwiches. Beef turkey cheese and salmon.. and a fabulous selection of cakes and scones. Plenty of staff waiting on the tables to service tea and coffee. A lovely atmosphere with a singer on performing Christmas songs. A lovely pre Christmas event for the family. Thanks would look again.

Been coming here at least once a year for last 15 years. The hotel is not what it was. Booked 2 cold rooms and dinner at the restaurent, .Recieved text 3 days prior to arrival; retaurent closed due to problem with gas. When we arrived we were told we could eat at the pub across the carpark, We are 4 elderly people 2 are disabled, we went across the carpark an had a very nice pub meal. It appears the dining room was closed because not enough bookings and lack of staff, Kitchen open in the morning for serve breakfast. BAR CLOSED ALL NIGHT May as well stayed in a B&B

This afternoon, I went for lunch with some friends and was shocked by our experience. One of my friends has a severe nut allergy, and when she ordered a simple beef lasagna at the bar, we were told by the server that the lasagna and garlic bread may contain traces of nuts. We asked to see the allergy folder, which should be kept up to date by law. It was alarming to see that the date on the folder was labeled as 2022. Upon examining the folder, we found no mention of nuts, so we were puzzled as to why the chefs had said the food might contain nuts. It seems that more training is needed on allergies, as the server did not seem to understand the importance of getting it right.

Well what can I say, I stopped eating here a couple of years as the food quality is poor, however against my better judgement went once again with my Wife and Grandchildren. The food I'd very expensive for what you get. My Wife had to send her jacket potato back as it was rotten inside. My Grandaughters had spaghetti bolognase, and the portion wouldn't have fed a mouse. Tiny bit of mince and a few strands of spaghetti with two minute pieces of garlic bread. Not cheap either. My Cajon chicken ciabetta was like pulped baby food. This use to be lovely under previous owners. The girl taking the order was unfriendly and unbending when we asked to change a side with an abrupt no you can't.

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
