Great place.. good atmosphere, great pub food (good choice of menu) and enjoyed a relaxing evening out. Will be back next time we're in Keswick

Went in with my partner for dinner, had a great laugh with the blonde girl and young guy about the weather and our plans for the weekend, great ribs sold there Will be coming back when we are next up

We came here for some lunch and this place really is hidden! The food was really nice, they offer a range of different options and the portions sizes were good. The atmosphere is nice and cosy. Overall I’d come back! Voir le carte

Went in for a drink,but would have stayed for food, we got told off for closeing the blindes as it was so cold and In no u setrms was told, open the blinds people will think we are closed. Did not eat here and never in my 40years of coming to Keswick have a ever been treated in this way. Stay away from the Pack hourse.

We popped in for a drink whilst staying in Keswick as we enjoyed it when we visited before. This time we found the staff very clicky and not welcoming or friendly. As soon as they knew we only wanted a drink, no one was interested in serving us and this wasn't the case in March. Maybe different staff. Toilets are basic, hot water and soap but could do with a proper clean.

After sampling several disappointing pubs in Keswick for our evening meal we tried the Pack Horse Inn. Unlike some of the others, we got a lovely welcome and were shown to a table. The menu also seemed much better than the other pubs with several meal options that we hadn’t seen elsewhere. The result was that we returned a further couple of times during our week's holiday. What a great discovery! The staff was so friendly, the baguette was amazing, and they were very accommodating with customizing our order. We spent some time here enjoying drinks and food while waiting for our family to arrive. The restaurant is located in a charming old building, and it was heartwarming to see it being enjoyed by locals. It's also a great spot for people-watching.

Very poor quality, vegetables dry boiled to slush, chicken tikka was over cooked and dry-tikka well not as we know it, tasteless, staff miserable as way too many customers. Felt we were crushed and pushed in after making a booking for Saturday dinner. I recognise Keswick was busy with the Christmas Light Switch on but other places were too but had a smile and great service even though busy. We always thought Packhorse was a treat but the food was shockingly disappointing but the bill was shockingly high for what we had.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times over the years. It is a nice, cozy pub with a good selection of beers (although a bit expensive, as it is in Keswick). The service can be quite cold. For example, when a customer returned her empty glasses to the bar and said 'thanks', the lady behind the bar did not acknowledge her at all. The service I received was also quite chilly. While I'm sure she is very efficient and experienced, is it too much to ask for a simple smile from someone who is, after all, a paying customer? Voir le carte
