"This restaurant was on the doorstep of our hotel so we thought we would have the opportunity of some good food without having to go too far. Unfortunately we were to be disappointed with poor service and average food. The menu offered an array of Tuscan dishes. We were seated without problem and left to peruse the menu. There appeared to be 2 waitresses working, one attentive but the other very distracted, which meant that the service we received was not satisfactory. We ordered Caprese and Mushrooms on polenta for starters. Spaghetti Carbonara and Parpadelle with Tuscan ragu. Two glasses of rose and two beers. The food was “ordinary” very bland starters and the worst carbonara I have ever had. Our second drinks order was ignored and after numerous attempts to attract the distracted waitress’ attention who seemed to be more interested in her phone and at one point wandered off up the street, eventually arrived. When asked if we wanted dessert, most of the menu was not available so we passed. So we asked for the bill and even this failed to arrive. So eventually we went in to pay. There appeared to be a lot of food couriers around so maybe their focus has been skewed towards takeaway rather than on site customers but this is our opinion based on observation. A shame because the Osteria is in a good location close to Pisa’s main attractions."

molto bello locale, abbiamo pranzato con sfondo la piacevole musica di un artista di strada. abbiamo ordinato piselli al ragù toscano e una crema al forno, tutto grande e servito rapidamente. altamente raccomandato.

The food was passable (really salty), the service was not great and the owner was not friendly at all seating at a table speaking loudly like there was no customers at all in the restaurant. Plus a big service charge that was mandatory !

Miglior posto in cui ho mangiato a Pisa, locale con pochi posti a sedere dentro e alcuni posti fuori coperti da ombrelloni,personale veloce gentile e preparato ,piatti tipici abbondanti ed impeccabili ,prezzi adeguati al servizio e alla qualità delle pietanze . Stra consigliato a tutti quelli che cercano un posto intimo,tipico , diretto la torre di Pisa e vogliono spendere poco. Tagliatelle al ragù di cinghiale , stinco di maiale con patate e insalata ,acqua e caffè 32€.

Real Italian food in a neighbourhood Italian restaurant. We were lucky to get a table, because we got here early, 7.30pm. All the other tables were booked and as the restaurant filled up we realised we were the only tourists. The host greeted everyone else by name. There was a choice of set meals, where for €30 you could have water, a glass of wine, antipasto, primi Patti, secondi Patti, dessert and coffee. We weren’t hungry enough for that but our food was outstanding. I had 2 Italian sausages, some mouthwatering pork ribs, with roast potatoes €10, and my husband had the mixed grill, €18, which was very good value. We had house wine, 3/4 litre for €9.
