"This 19th century former stable on the outskirts of the city of Pietrasanta has an attractive atmosphere without any extravagance. We started with a dish of four different vegetables for my wife and a carpaccio of beef with shavings of fennel and segments of orange for me. The four different vegetables were individually presented on the dish and each one was a triumph of taste and intrigue since we wrongly guessed what two of them actually were. They were uniformly delicious as was my own dish. For the main course I had seared tuna with a few vegetables on the side and my wife had a dish which she had come to the restaurant to sample, namely, eggplant with Parmesan cheese. Both dishes were eminently satisfying. We accompanied this meal with the house white wine which was very satisfactory. Two desserts followed: a zabaglione for my wife and baked fruit with ice cream for me. My dish taught me that you can cook orange, peel and all, and it is very palatable. The meal was preceded by the only dish which did not inspire particularly: a complimentary small piece of sformato (vegetable tart). This was not a cheap meal and cost €85 for the two of us. But from a culinary point of view it was above the average."
