"As a professional chef I had the privilege of spending an afternoon and evening cooking with the extremely talented Chef/owner of La Locanda Bagnara. Chef Mirko, formerly the Executive Chef at the famous Quisisana Hotel in Capri, uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients and adapts his menu daily to showcase these items. When I visited we cooked no less than 15 different varieties of fish, hand picked by Chef Mirko himself at the fish market in Ravenna. Chef Mirko's passion for cooking shines through in every dish he creates- his philosophy is to use the best ingredients and let them speak for themselves without masking their flavours with cream, butter or strong sauces. Instead he compliments their flavours with fresh herbs, extra virgin olive oil and unobstructed vegetable purees and reductions. In a country where not much emphasis is placed on presentation (because everything looks and tastes so good anyway) Chef Mirko takes pride in making beautiful plates and likes to play with different textures and colours which further enhance his delicious dishes. Following my informative experience Chef Mirko treated me to a divine seafood tasting menu accompanied by a great selection of local wines from his extensive cellar. La Locanda Bagnara is situated in a historic building on the square in the picturesque village of Bagnara di Romagna and is definitely worth the trip if you're in the region. It's good enough to be a destination restaurant and in case you have too much wine, you can always stay over because there are a few rooms available upstairs!"

"the room is designed for a heterogeneous clientele ranging from the child to the family and therefore is not characterized by a particular style. despite this the location is very pleasant and relaxing. the service is attentive to the needs of the customer and is never intrusive (they are also kind). the kitchen meets every palate. great attention to the raw material and the presentation of the dish. wine paper is well-stocked and constantly evolving. I don't express myself on the cocktail for insufficient personal experiences. prices in line with the quality of the products and the service provided. Good."

"Avevamo prenotato per le ore 20 e abbiamo iniziato a mangiare alle ore 21,30, comprendo che era sabato sera e il locale era pieno, ma non si può accettare che diversi camerieri passano, servono anche il tavolo vicino e non ti chiedono almeno la comanda del bere. Giunti alla consegna dell'acqua e delle bibite avvenuta poca alla volta, continuavano a guardarci e a passare con le mani vuote senza dire nulla, sarebbe opportuno non lasciare troppo il cliente a se stesso"

"I pray that in this farm we stayed this summer in the house on the tree and we had lunch and dinner : all perfect.I saw the pleasant experience we decided to celebrate the confirmation of my son, one Saturday at lunch. As soon as we arrived at 13,30 we were welcomed by saying that the kitchen would close to 14 things that had not been told at the time of booking. Very disgraced staff. They had everything ready so they brought all the courses so quickly that we still had food in our mouths. Very tasty food and minimal portions. In the end they always franticly served the cake still frozen, we did some frantic photos and we went away. We didn't even have time to chat with relatives. Bad experience and I'm very sorry because the place deserves."
