we celebrated Christmas in this magnificent location magnificent structure, friendly staff and attentive to the regulations covid, themed menu, of excellent quality, they also met a child with intolerance to dairy products knowing how to replace the various courses, wine paper ranging from north to south, we were recommended by the sommelier who served us 5 different wines combined with dishes, excellent service. very low prices seen the menu and service. This restaurant is located in the small village 'Bagnara ' and offers an excellent cuisine of Italian food. Don 't expect the standard Italian pizze or pasta, but fish and meat courses that tickle your sences. The friendly chef is specialised in fish dishes, however, also the meat dishes are excellent, at least so I was told by the locals as I have only tried a fish secundi platti which was just perfect! All food that is served is handmade and of the highest quality, including the dolci. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful 18th century house (or former convent) and also offers romantic hotel rooms.

As a professional chef I had the privilege of spending an afternoon and evening cooking with the extremely talented Chef/owner of La Locanda Bagnara. Chef Mirko, formerly the Executive Chef at the famous Quisisana Hotel in Capri, uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients and adapts his menu daily to showcase these items. When I visited we cooked no less than 15 different varieties of fish, hand picked by Chef Mirko himself at the fish market in Ravenna. Chef Mirko's passion for cooking shines through in every dish he creates- his philosophy is to use the best ingredients and let them speak for themselves without masking their flavours with cream, butter or strong sauces.
