Olimpo Il Monte Degli Dei

Chose as it was close to my hotel. There was a a lot of selection for pizza. I did not check other options as that is what I wanted. Pizza was good and service was fast. Exactly what I was looking for.

We had a seafood pasta and French fries, very good portion and very tasty. The fries was piping hot. The price was very reasonable. Fresh and good quality. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would go back if I ever returned.

We attempted to have a lunch at the first two choices of TA for Selinunte and they both were closed on Sunday. This place seemed to be the only game in town so we gave it a try. It happened to be very average. The food was ok for the price but nothing to write home about. Voir le carte

Good place for a quick pasta lunch a stone throw away from the Archeological Park of Selinunte. Our server was courteous and welcoming. Their salmon pasta was nicely prepared as well as pasta with cherry tomatoes. I especially liked crispy and fresh bruschetta great for a starter.

We wanted some dinner near our hotel on a wet Friday night and went here despite there being a Karaoke night in progress. It ended up being really entertaining, especially as we seemed to be the only tourists in the packed restaurant that night. We both had the Karaoke special of a pizza, small dessert and quarter litre of wine for 8 euros each. Both meals were tasty, fresh and good value.

Having visited the nearby archeological site, we dropped in for lunch. Initially, we were disappointed to be told that pizzas were not available. So, we had fettuccine with mushrooms, calamari fritto and grilled gamberinies rossa. The food was delicious and served quite quickly. Service was fine with virtually no English spoken. Olimpo was referred to us by our hosts at Tempio di Hera for a special meal. We could not have been more pleased. While we were the only customers to start, several more came in later including locals. The setting is very much a trattoria with vaulted ceilings. A cabinet displays the various torte and dolce they have. The menu is not large and naturally features seafood. We delighted with the prawns and sole we had. Dessert was also excellent. The staff were very pleasant.

ottima trattoria a conduzione familiare o quasi. Siamo andati in tre, abbiamo mangiato un aragosta all'amatriciana, un cacio e un pepe di spaghetto e uno alla puttana, tutte abbondanti e ottime porzioni, abbiamo anche fatto la scarpa alla fine del pasto, so che non lo fai, ma dal momento che il pane era grande se lo meritavi. Infine anche il caffè all'altezza del resto. Mi dispiace solo di non aver mangiato nient'altro. prezzo onesto. Se c'e' qualche possibilita', torneremo sicuramente.

We found this place because in early May there are not too many restaurants open in the area. There was live Italian singing coming out the door so we decided to give it a try. The singing was coming from a karaoke guy who was very entertaining throughout the evening. The place seemed to be popular with the locals especially for takeaway pizzas. The value for money is excellent as the portions were very large. We shared a meat, cheese, bruschetta, olive and fritter platter which was yummy. I had the fish menu and loved it! The large pasta portion was so-so but then the grilled sardines were delicious. The bottle of red Sicilian wine was not expensive and was really good- Nero D'avola. My par... Voir le carte
