"With a group of friends, we had gone to the Grindstone for a nostalgic visit, having not been there for over 40 years (but it did come recommended by a friend who lives locally). The pub is modernised, and this means loud music (a touch too loud for us old gits, as conversation was challenged) while you find yourself surrounded by a variety of TV screens all showing different programmes. But the beer is good and the BBQ food OK (the pulled pork I had was acceptable but a bit old in taste) I do not think I would return for the above reasons."

Called in on Thursday evening just for a drink. Beer was excellent. The bar service was friendly and efficient.

Normally love the Grindstone but it’s really let itself down tonight. Turned off the stock market early and only 1 crash. A real disrespect to its patrons and those looking to get involved. Will not be back.

The quiz night was fantastic! They offer a variety of amazing bottled beers like Delirium and Saison Dupont, and the deals on pledge cards are great. The events they host are also wonderful. I am excited to attend the Stock Exchange Event Trader Thursdays in the future.
