"Though The Cellar is in plain sight from the road, we had a little trouble finding it. We’re not used to addresses like “The Diamond,” which is just a little kind of extended semi-circle of businesses. So, we were late for our reservation, but the folks couldn’t have been nicer. I had a delicious Caesar salad for a starter; my husband had an amazing smoked salmon appetizer with herbed cheese. We then both had the prosciutto rolled monkfish and a chocolate strawberry roulade for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was very friendly and helpful. We loved the cozy atmosphere as well. All in all, a wonderful dining experience on our first day in Northern Ireland!"

The food was exceptional, earning a perfect five stars. Every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was also top-notch; the staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was inviting and warm, creating a perfect setting to enjoy a meal. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for a delightful breakfast experience!"

"I can't find any faults with this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and even remembered me from my phone booking. They were very hospitable. The food was amazing, high quality dishes at a great price. I started with the crab claws, which were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. My salad was also very tasty. My partner had the stuffed pork fillet with scallops and couldn't stop raving about it. The pork fillet was incredibly tender and the black pudding was fantastic. We both had the chicken stack for our main, a simple dish executed perfectly. The champ was delicious and flavorful. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the whiskey cream was decadently delicious. It was a BYOB restaurant, which was great, but unfortunately we were driving so we couldn't bring our own wine. The staff were excellent in terms of social distancing and wearing masks. The bathrooms were clean and it was easy to see if there was a line so we could easily socially distance. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I will definitely be returning to."

"Went to the Anzac with family on New Year’s Day. There were of us and that was no problem for the very friendly staff. We had a lovely table sat together. Our waiter named Fenton I found out later was very friendly helpful and...informative. There were adults and children and he looked after us all extremely well. The food was delicious We all had starters and a main course which were priced very competitively. We would have stayed for dessert only we were taking the children down to the seafront for ice cream. Thanks to all the lovely staff at the Anzac for a lovely meal and afternoon out on New Year’s Day. We cannot wait to return to Ballycastle and of course The Anzac."

"This could be great but several things let it down. The service was slow, 20 mins to even order drinks, and an hour to be served our main course. No explanation or effort to build rapport with customers. My fish portion was well cooked but very small, the cauliflower accomplishment was seriously hot...I was expecting curry flavours not to have my eyes water. Luckily my husband likes spicy food so he ate that. Our daughter's chicken was dry. We had to ask twice to get replacement water and drinks with our meal and again twice to get the bill, another 40 min wait. This didn't sit well, with us having pre-booked online which stated we only had the table for an hour and must vacate it by 8pm, so we'd prepared ourselves to be quick and vacate the table swiftly. We booked for 7pm and hadn't even had our main meal by 8pm so I'm thankful no one enforced their booking policy. The majority of the staff appeared to be young and trying hard but very inefficient. I felt sorry for them as they were clearly trying but weren't working well as a team. We're only here on holiday but I'd recommend other places to eat, unless you've got lots of time on your hands."
