"we love our regular trips to the oast farm caffe, they are so welcoming, it is like a visit to friends, but with really great eating. the twins love to play outside (the icy water with brushstrokes to decorate the path is inspired to help me get 5 minutes peace! or to paint inside while waiting for their favorite soup and warm cheese. Excellent impromptu lunch as a date night in the afternoon! Food was fresh and the service was excellent. Really nice sitting outside too and enjoying some sun. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back

In order to escape the bitter cold weather, we decided to visit the Oast Farm restaurant: we enjoyed a delicious homemade soup and the option to add a cheese treat made the experience even more magical. I highly recommend it!

because of our self-insulation by vulnerable age group, judith had brought my articles to the door and my card for payment near the car. all precautionary measures were well organised for the safety of employees and customers. another excellent service in.

I had a great experience with my three-year-old daughter, Emily, this morning at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and Emily loved using the child-friendly scissors provided to easily cut her food. We also ordered red shrimp and vegetables. I found the menu to be very good value for money and will definitely be returning soon. - Laura

We had a fantastic time at this charming countryside restaurant! The owners were welcoming and kind, and they provided us with scissors to easily pick fresh strawberries straight from the plant. This made the experience enjoyable and hassle-free. The strawberries were delicious and we enjoyed every bite. With pick-your-own farms becoming rare in Sussex, we will definitely be back to visit again soon!

Called in by chance on a day walk in Sussex. Bought a flapjack to eat on my way which was DELICIOUS. Also, sour dough bread from a local bakery and quince marmalade home made on the farm. Also, DELICIOUS. The shop was full of gorgeous looking fruit, vegetables, meat, cakes, preserves etc etc. I was only sorry I was walking and couldn't carry more! A very friendly team and a beautiful location. Right on the Wealdway. If you are walking that route and in the Buxted area, then I recommend you plan to stop off at the Oast Farm Shop!

"Honestly...one of the best pub restaurants I have ever visited! We chose to eat here as it was recommended via Alistair Sawday, and it did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere, hygiene and service were all 5* when we visited last night. We sat inside, by candlelight, and ordered 2 starters (the Rye smoked mackerel with buttercream sauce and the heritage tomato salad and 2 mains (the beef burger with fries and the hake with toasted ciabatta and garden peas . It was truly exquisite! We both cleaned our plates (and we don't usually do that! . My only mild criticism is that I didn't realise the hake dish would include bacon lardons they certainly added to the flavour, but as an ethical pescatarian, this could have ruined the meal for me (I didn't allow it to, but 10 years ago when I was more strict it may have upset me . I may have simply missed this ingredient when reading the menu, and I didn't make the waiting staff aware of my dietary preferences, so I accept this was my fault and not theirs. It's just something for other pescatarians reading this review to be aware of. I have absolute confidence that they would prepare the hake dish without the bacon lardons if you asked. As for me....my boyfriend gleefully took them from my plate and demolished them himself! We also enjoyed a medium glass of wine each my boyfriend (who is very particular loved the tempranillo and I had their Italian pinot grigio. Our entire meal would have been less than £60, but with the current government incentive scheme to eat in, it came to less than £40!! We tipped generously as they truly deserved it. We will 100% be returning and can't advocate them enough."
