"This is a pretty ancient building with nice patterned wall. You can see local people sitting inside or just outside the area observing others while sipping and having their tea. According to my German friends, they served authentic German dishes ranging from finger food, salad to steak. It seems like a family run place and customers who patronize them to a certain extent are local. The atmosphere inside is quiet and nice and the service is good. I was attracted by it due to its ancient building structure then by the atmosphere and the people who served us. It's a different experience sitting enjoying authentic German dishes and observing the activities outside."

Excellent familiy run restaurant serving German dishes around the clock. Specialties are savory pancakes and beef, but I was most fond of the various Schnitzels. Located in a typical ancient building.

Little cosy family-driven restaurant, where we eat regularly. The quality of the meat is superb, they cook it just the way you want it! Food is great value for money.Only minus (for wine drinkers): they have local wine only from one winery - which in our opinion is far from being the best.

We had a great meal here on second night in the town - wish we had found on our first night! Both meals were perfectly cooked - steak and pork. The pork came with delicious German style potatoes. The restaurant is quite small and in an interesting old building. Staff were friendly and efficient. There are also a few tables out the front if the weather is nice. Would revisit if we come to the area again.

We enjoyed authentic German food, and there was plenty of it. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. I would have given the restaurant a rating of 5, if it were not for the very disappointing end, when we had to pay the bill. They refused to accept our credit cards (we tried to offer several) with the argument, that they don't accept Danish credit cards. Are they allowed to do that while claiming that they for example accept VISA? It was very, very disappointing to us, and we all had to cash in to pay the bill (a bit embarrassing to me, because I wanted to pay).
