"Absolutely catastrophic, have ordered 3 times grill plate delivery has taken 3 hours completely cold. The spits were so dry that it dusted during chewing, and the meat was also very sour. So for the price, that's an absolute freak."

"We went to the Angus, because our hotel restaurant was closed on a Monday as were a number of restaurants in Niddeggen. Needless to say it was quite busy, but we were able to get a table. The solitary friendly waiter was friendly, even though he was he was rushed off his feet serving people. Even so the service was pretty good. The restaurant offered a strange combination of dishes ranging from Italian pasta and pizza dishes, Indian dishes, traditional German dishes (schnitzels) and steaks. Many of the customers were having Indian dishes, but we opted for something else, as we had eaten in an Indian restaurant the night before. My wife had a schnitzel with pommes-frites and side salad and I had the grill platter with rosemary potatoes. Although, not excellent the food was still good and hit the spot. Certainly a strange combination of dishes."

"I'm writing this on my husbands account. We were staying at the hotel so decided to visit the restaurant. We ventured down to be greeted by the owner who swiftly showed us to a table. Drinks orders were taken and the owner asked if we...understood the menu, written in German we said no. The Chief came out to explain. First to come out was a complimentary prawn dish, not ordered, but exceptional in taste and presentation. Our Lobster came our, again it was presented well and did not disappoint in flavour. Main course I ordered the Spanish Beef, which melted in the mouth, Lamb was my husbands choice again it was delicious. I would definitely rate this hotel and restaurant as a place to visit for both fabulous food and great service."

"beautifully local in the heart of nideggen. friendly, competent service. good, balanced menu with normal travel. eat something really delicious. However, in the evening it was somewhat cuddly (table, place top, appetizer top) which was probably due to the large customer frequency, but everything was quickly directed to making it conscious. will go again, not at the weekend!."
