"So in Mettmann with one of the best pizzas you can order from Deliveryando, none of the pizzas there has such a good pizza as DaVinci. Also the cappriciosa salad is very tasty, just like the Tagliatelle in cream sauce. Always supply nice and friendly. So I can only recommend. "Wir haben im August 2014 den 80sten Geburtstag meines Vaters dort mit einem Abendessen mit 8 Personen gefeiert. Das Ambiente war überraschend geschmackvoll. Als wir gegen 18:30 Uhr ankamen war das Restaurant noch nicht sehr gefüllt, und die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam. Die erste Runde Getränke kam schnell, und die Speisen wurden bestellt. Dann wurde es leider voll, und die Aufmerksamkeit lies spürbar nach. Okay, wir waren ja zum Feiern da, aber dazu gehören auch Getränke, und wir haben sehr lange auf die 2.Runde Getränke gewartet. Dann hatten wir den Eindruck, das Gäste, die nach uns kamen, ihr Essen recht schnell auf den Tisch hatten. Also entweder hatte Das Methode, und die wollten uns mit Getränken erst einmal abfüllen, oder die Küche ist auf eine "Massenbestellung" für 8 Personen nicht fit genug. Aber wenn ich doch als Gast das Essen bestelle, dann erwarte ich auch, dass es in angemessener Zeit serviert wird.Als nach eine gefühlten Ewigkeit (etwa 1,5 Std) das Essen endlich serviert wurde, war es noch nicht einmal komplett; meine Mutter und mein Neffe mussten noch 15 Minuten auf ihr Essen warten. Wir hatten nichts außergewöhnliches bestellt, aber Das war echt der Gipfel und zeigt, dass die Küche für größere Bestellungen hoffnungslos überlastet ist.Meine Pizza war nichts Besonderes und schmeckte auch so, aber ehrlich: hätte ich sie bei irgendeinem Pizza-Service bestellt, und der Anlieferweg wäre etwa 30 Minuten (Pappschachtel, durchgeweicht, lauwarm), dann könnt Ihr Euch vorstellen, wie meine Pizza aussah. Die Spagetti Marinara meiner Frau waren ein Witz: Riesenteller (muss ja auch, die Designerköche verwenden auch solche Teller), wenig Spaghetti, noch weniger Sauce, und die Meeresfrüchte musste man suchen. Hat meiner Frau absolut nicht geschmeckt. Meine Nichte hatte irgendetwas Überbackenes und äußerte sich auch, dass Es eigenartig schmecken würde.Nachdem meine Mutter 20 Minuten nach dem Essen dem Kellner Bescheid gesagt hatte, dass wir endlich fertig sind, und wir sehr durstig wären, kam er dann doch noch mal an unseren Tisch und räumte ab und brachte uns neue Getränke. Inzwischen hatten wir 21:30 Uhr, und das Restaurant leerte sich etwas. Endlich erhielt ich auch mein drittes Alt-Bier ;-) Pro Stunde Eins (0,2l), da musste lange dran nippen, um über die Runden zu kommen.Der Kellner hatte inzwischen gemerkt, dass wir sehr ungehalten waren und versuchte uns, durch einen Dessert aus Haus milde zu stimmen, aber damit hat er den Vogel abgeschossen: sehr wässriges TiraMisu, warscheinlich mehrfach gefroren und wieder aufgetaut, zermatscht und ohne Form, und ein ganz eigentümlicher Geschmack. Ein Bissen hat mir gereicht, der Rest ist wieder zurück gegangen.Fazit: gut dass wir nicht in Gruiten wohnen, und selbst wenn; als Pizza-Lieferservice würden wir ihn vielleicht nochmal testen, aber für eine Familienfeier mit mehr als 2 Personen absolut ungeeignet."

"Everyone mourned to the old town forest house in Mettmann when it had to sneak after a long tradition. There were various rumors and stories about the reasons. Then the bureaucracy made problems and so the beautiful house was in Sleeping Beauty for years. On 14 June 2017 the Stadtwaldhaus was reopened as a restaurant, café with a great beer garden after four years of interruption. And it has become beautiful. Completely renovated. Interior beautiful wooden tables and a pleasant environment. It's Friday and we've reserved. That's good, because with time the place felt like watching. The service was very fast, maybe a little too fast, because we hardly had any place we were asked for the drinks. We suggested that we have time and want to enjoy the evening in peace without hectic, then everything was OK. The map is clear and offers something for every taste. So we chose the stone mushroom Consommé with spring onions (EUR 5,90) and the Cocos Curry soup with chicken strips also to EUR 5,90. Both soups convinced. The curry soup was delicious and had a good touch of pepper next to the curry. The deposits were sufficient. Cocos Curry Soup The main foods were, except for the Scampi prunes (EUR 13,90), also known as well. Our nice East Friese who accompanied us were the Scampi too easy, there is no freshness naja, he comes from the sea... Otherwise, the original Wiener Schnitzel with the lukewarm cucumbers of potato salad (EUR 17,90), the Saltimbocca a la Romana with thyme twistingen and salad (EUR 18,90) and the Argentinian rump steak with a pepper cream sauce and salad (EUR 19,90) were very solid. Nothing great, good and solid. Rumpsteak The wine card is small, but here you will find something suitable. We chose a Crianza from the Rioja area the bottle to EUR 19,50. A fair price in a restaurant. Overall we liked the new Stadtwaldhaus."

"Ok, this is really off the beat and track and I was introduced to this restaurant by acquaintances. It's what I call a typical German bistro and the great thing about it is what you see is what you get. We started with a salad which is part of your dish followed by a fabulous jäegerschnitzel. Cooked to perfection! As I still had room for another dish, I decided on an Argentinian rump steak with mushroom sauce and French fries, pretty much the same as dish number one. That was really good too. All in all, a great experience and good quality for money"

"Extremely tasty food that was almost only doped by the competent and very friendly service. Really worth a recommendation! We had the antipasti with bread and a self-made butter including olives. There were pasta Gorgonzola with Ruccola and pine nuts, a pumpkin soup and salmon noodles with delicious spices. The prices are really fair and welcoming. I went through with my friend there for dinner. Bright modern but also cozy design. If I'm back close to IMMER WIEDER GERNE!"
