"We were on a mission for parathas! Mooli ones in particular so were very happy to stumble across this place. We asked for extra stuffing in the parathas which was done for us. The yogurt was not complimentary with the parathas but came at a...charge which is fine, but it was way too dear! We also had to ask for some butter which took a while to come out and didn't melt very well over the paratha as at this point it had become tepid. Whilst waiting for our parathas we had a tikki chaat which was really nice. The sauces were delicious. However, overall the prices are a bit ambiguous. Also the toilet area needs attention. The floor was wet and it needed a good clean. This can easily be resolved so should be made a priority as the food is quite good. Service can be improved."

Amazing place to eat. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is divine. My favourite is the Sweet Mango Lassi. ... A must have on every visit...

The food that is made fresh is good but unfortunately they seem to also serve old food which was gone off in our instance. This gave us all a bad stomach I don’t recommend to try this, best to eat at chai wala across...the road. Voir le carte

Me and my family have been going to Nakodars Restaurant for years. Delicious Punjabi food, never disappointed with the quality and taste. Highly recommend to my friends, family and anyone simply wanting to experience the best of Punjabi cuisine.

Love the food here. Sweets, curries and a selection of freshly prepared dishes rather than microwaved. My favourites are the paneer spring rolls, aloo or gobi parathas. Prices reasonable (except yoghurt/dey). Have always been happy with the customer service.

My craving for halwa puri brought me here. We ordered halwa puri and chole bhature. Food was fresh and good, portion size was good. The yogurt was very expensive at pound for a small portion. We didn't order tea as it seemed to be...very expensive. I suggest have karak chai at chai wala just across the road. The sweets were over priced as well, I mean pound for rasgulla and for gulab jamuns is ridiculously expensive. Do try the breakfast but be ware about ordering extra yogurt and their tea seemed to be just ok. Voir le carte

I’ve been coming here for years as the food is authentic but see the service get worse and the prices increase to ridiculous levels. So much so that today I’ve decided to stop coming to this place. They treat their customers for fools and I...don’t think they deserve my loyalty or money. Check your bills as they regularly over charge. Be prepared for long waits minimum min wait times. The men do very little and the women look overworked and under appreciated. The last straw is them saying they don’t do tap water anymore it’s not available apparently. Not only is this against the law but it’s just another way to overcharge you.

Nakodar serves real Indian Punjabi food in Birmingham, unlike those fake places claiming to be Indian, serving non Indian food and owned by non Indians with halal signs. That’s not Indian. My family and myself are regulars at Nakodar. Only place in Birmingham that serves...chai with food, unlike Chandni Chowk across the road who need training on customer service. I agree the old man in Nakodar needs to smile or talk, but his son makes up for it with his good customer service. Love the food. It’s not a posh restaurant. So stop complaining about how clean it’s meant to be. This is a typical Indian place where we Indians love, if you can’t hack it, you sure as hell won’t be able to hack a trip...
