"This restaurant is a favourite among locals in the Goettingen, known for its sumptuous game dishes and traditional baked potatoes. It is hard to reach minutes by car from Goettingen), but it is well worth the drive and a delight to know such a...place exists in what is a bland city from a culinary point of view. The space itself is rather quaint and the closest I have seen in the area to a traditional German family restaurant. Expect a low ceiling, interesting old-times decoration with beer mugs and old paintings as well as a no-frills service. Which is frankly what I prefer (restaurants in the area are often either chains or cater too much to students and tourists). But the most exceptional thing is, of course the food, typically some kind of local meat (wild boar, deer etc slowly cooked with its accompanying sauce and then the baked potatoes and red cabbage. All are among the best (if not the best) I have had in the area. Expect to pay a bit more than usual it should amount to about euros/person with drinks but it is well worth it."

tradition in the region göttingen (ot bremke). the menu has not changed in 20 years. of course the bratkartoffels are recommended. deft eating, humble salads. price-performance ratio absolute o. k. approach with public transport means hardly possible.

we have already been some picturesque in neighboring forest-seals for supervision and traditionally come in with mother feeding.Bisher with everything done fully satisfied and especially the wildernesses a delicacies to absolutely favorable trips in comparison to restaurants in my environment.

After checking out several other restaurants in Göttingen which were either full, or had run out of exactly the dishes we tried to order, we thought lets just go to Mutter Jütte and it was good. According to my canadian wife the filet steaks we...had there were the best steaks in a german restaurant so far, we shall come back often.

Mutter Jütte is THE place for real German fried potatoes (Bratkartoffeln) and for a traditional German winter (Christmas) dinner: goose with red cabbage and all the other good stuff that comes with it. I am sure the other food is excellent as well.. but this is what we normally come here for. And we have never been disappointed! It's a cozy, authentic, relaxed, down-to-earth restaurant near Göttingen and certainly worth a visit!

this is still known to me from my study period. was there again for 20 years. as you can see, a local with tradition. it had changed nothing, not even the menu. Of course, the bratkartoffels of mother hated the absolute number 1, but after 20 years you would expect a little change. as at the time, the salat insert is a gray, looks more like iced goods. for a well maintained carving with a good beer, however, it is sufficient. there is another local in bremke, only one kilometer further on the main road, just a few meters ahead of location. but not so well known.

we were there at 17 o'clock and were also the first and the only guests but the greeting was not especially friendly! Unfortunately, during the whole time, the lady's friendliness has changed absolutely nothing! She was more annoyed than pleased to have us as only guests!I got a rudder in a dirty glass and when I made her aware of it she was even more unfriendly and more pity! well, maybe she had a bad day! the food was very good and also very tasty until on supplementsalad! we had once beef and once filetsteak with pfifferlings and bratkartoffeln. the salat was very sweet made with finished sauce probably!So combined it was very good but the operation was rather bad!

We stayed there for three nights. The evening meal we had there was very nice. Very traditional and of course in a lovely setting. The breakfast was a continental style, set out on each table, i.e. not a buffet. It was nice (cold meats, cheese,...bread, scrambled egg, jam, tea/coffee and fresh) but there was no juice and no choice. Sometimes, they had to be reminded to bring everything. "they enter this locally over a terrace, which is covered in summer with big wine. expects a bright dining room with the typical equipped Greek accessories, but without cuddling. interesting is the cover design, which is designed in the form of a wee canopy. we could get a table in rest because only one table was occupied in the smoke room. for a Tuesday evening, 18 o'clock, but nothing unusual. we were supplied personally by the cook (family operation with menus and the drinks were also very fast. with the time came more guests who also partly used the outhouse service. we ordered an appetizer cup mezes, zaziki, skordalia, taramos salat and feta (4,90 €). the individual portions were arranged in each case to two small ice balls per sort at the edge of the dish, within a filled wein leaf and an olive, with 6 slices of baguette. in the main dishes we have decided to make a Greek carving with mirrors, cheese, grilled asparagus, filled wein leaves, bratkartoffeln and a mixed salad for € 13.00 and a farmer plate with bifteki (filled with feta, suwlaki, lamb chop, leber, gyros, pommes fry for this we have a part zaziki. the various types of meat were well seasoned, on the point cooked and juicy. even the lamb is not impenetrable in taste. in the Greek carving were the mirror eggs (two for my man were exactly right because a little more liquid. However, here the number of two grilled, low-drilled bars was very bad, with the note grilled low drilled. the Greek bratkartoffels, like the pommes, were made in fresh fat and the salt was little dosed, which we find good by the person. everyone can desalinate themselves. the junior got 2 bags of rubber bears enchanted (here the cook makes a small magic and then falls out of cheerful sky a bag in the hand of the child big! came good and we 2 ouzo on the house. everything in all, we can recommend this Greek and will surely come back. they can also rent a gyrosspike for the party to house very cheap, incl. supplements."
