"We tried to go here, twice. It had good reviews, but when we entered, the staff did not even acknowledge us. We stood there, two separate times for 3-5 minutes and no one greeted us in any way...They were busy, but 4 different people/staff were literally walking around us and ignoring us! Unbelievable. Later we asked a local, and she said the same thing (that the food is good, but the staff are incredibly rude)...Life is too short to put up with treatment like that! So, we went 3 blocks away to a wonderfully friendly restaurant with good food - "Film Taverne" with good Bavarian fare and pizza. I would recommend to go there instead!"

"Lovely secluded location on golf course, great views all around & warm & friendly welcome. Service here is carefully orchestrated by the Italian crew. The food was excellent - for starters we had a half portion of tuna tartar & another of gnocchi - according to the husband the best he has ever had. Followed by fresh & delicately grilled turbot & for the husband carre d'agneau accompanied by perfectly grilled vedgetables. Outstanding in an area where in spite of its many other attractions there are few gastronomic highlights...."

"Located on West side of Lake Starnberg, Forsthaus am See is a very nice lakeside restaurant located in Feldafing. We went for dinner with a large group of 20+ persons. They had set up large tables outside on the waterside. Throughout the evening, service was excellent. We started the evening with a few of the hotels special cocktails. Most of our group had a mixed plate starter that included beef, hams and salad. For my main course I tried the tuna steak. The preparation was great. Dessert was equally well prepared. The only drawback for the evening was the number of mosquitos that frequent the Starnberg lake area. Overall we had an excellent meal with personalized service."

"this place in a rural location is highly recommended. I like to go back and forth as the Greek and Bavarian specialities are very tasty. You just have to go to the menu more often.
