Maze Coffee Shop - Carte

Lovely little restaurant with amazing food and really friendly staff. Had a very enjoyable meal, the lamb shish was so tender and the baklava with ice cream was so delicious I haven’t stopped thinking about it!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and we were pleased we took her advice. The choice and quality of food was excellent, prices very reasonable and service was friendly and very efficient. Overall, we had a most enjoyable meal.

We had a lovely evening meal here and so good that we returned for lunch the next day. Lovely cold meze starter- very fresh and homemade, lamb with smoked aubergine. For lunch next day: Greek omelette, vegetarian moussaka. All excellent and at a reasonable price. Voir le carte

One of the nicest burgers I've had with lovely fresh bread on the bun not stodgy or dry at all. Delicious chicken with houloumi! The cheesecake was incredible creamy and sweet. Lovely valentine's lunch! Pretty ambience too with the the old style rafters and low ceilings. But not dingy.

We had an amazing birthday meal here last night with friends, it's my favourite restaurant. Once again the food and service was excellent. Unfortunately the night was ruined as I didn't see the step down to the toilets, fell and really hurt myself. So, if you go please be really careful!

3 of us had a early Friday night booking. Welcome was warm and the place soon filled up. If you like no nonsense Turkish food then this is spot on. Superb cold meze followed by excellent lamb and chicken shish couldn’t be faulted. A bottle of Yakut red wine helped it down. Including the baclava. Voir le carte

Came for lunch with our sone and our grandson so it was important that there was a high chair as he is only two and a half. When we booked they were very helpful even asking how many high chairs we needed! At the end of the day we had a beautiful lunch in lovely surroundings in a very relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful authentic Turkish food. Thank You !

I went to maze for lunch this afternoon and food the place was very clean and well presented. We had a amazing starter followed by amazing and very proper Turkish food. I have seen the owner there a few times but there seem to be a new lad there which was more then just helpful he had a smile and could tell he enjoyed working for the restaurant and will definitely be back if I am serviced by these gentleman again. Well done and thank you.

I’ve always liked the food here and my wife and I thought we would pop in for lunch. I have to say the food was nice, however I was less than impressed with the service. I felt like we were just a nuisance and everything was rushed. I asked for ketchup and he just brought over a massive bottle and slammed it onto the table. Everything felt money oriented and almost annoyance we didn’t spend more (our bill was over £30 for lunch) I have to say it made us feel a bit uncomfortable, especially with a little baby and with the amount of competition in Saffron Walden I do find the service in some places quite shocking. I would have to think twice about going again- which is a shame as it’s somewher... Voir le carte
