"My wife and I sat down to excellent Schnitzel here recently. The atmosphere was very 'gemutlisch '. The air was filled with delicious smells and warm laughter. It 's definitely warmer down in the main room. The upstairs is a little cooler and quieter but you 're going...to have to duck a bit if you 're over 5 '8! The food was delicious. Our server was a little inexperienced and possessed no English at all (which isn 't points against, but my German is poor, so as a tourist in a tourist town I always appreciate a little help with the wine list or the specials of the day). The do have an English menu which was quite helpful. All in all, an excellent night. Delicious food and a very authentic cultural experience!"

"Wir waren im Mai 2016 das erste Mal im Great Plains, da mein Freund sehr gerne Steak ist. Das Restaurant an sich ist stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Da es allerdings direkt am Bahnhof liegt, ist das Ambiente allgemein weniger schön. Zu jedem Steakgericht kann man sich am Salatbuffet bedienen, das gut und frisch ist. Zusätzlich gibt es dort Kartoffelecken und Pellkartoffeln mit Sourcream, die sehr lecker geschmeckt haben. Umso enttäuschter waren wir dann allerdings vom Steak. Mein Freund hat sich für ein Rib Eye Steak entschieden. Dieses war vom Garpunkt sehr gut getroffen, hat allerdings geschmeckt, als wäre es eingefroren gewesen und wieder aufgetaut und hatte dann diesen typisch "fleischigen" Geschmack. Mein Putensteak war ebenfalls nur ok, habe ich in vielen Deutschen Häusern schon besser gegessen. Es war etwas zäh und geschmacklich einfach nicht überzeugend. Außerdem hätten wir uns zusätzliches Steakpfeffer auf dem Tisch gewünscht. Für ein Steakhouse also leider nicht sehr empfehlenswert, dafür gibt es aber ein leckeres und gutes Salatbuffet (dieses kann auch einzeln gewählt werden, ohne Steak)."

"Nach dem vierten Besuch über einen längeren Zeitraum (2 Jahre), ist es nun an der Zeit eine Bewertung zu schreiben.Das Haddows Gastwerk liegt mitten in Buxtehude und kann mit dem PKW nicht direkt angefahren werden. Parkmöglichkeiten, wenn man Glück hat, in einer Querstraße sonst ist ein kleiner Fußmarsch aus näherer Umgebung nötig, da Parkplätze in den Abendstunden rar.Das Haus erstreckt sich über drei Etagen. Das Erdgeschoß ist ebenerdig und stufenlos zu erreichen, daher behindertengerecht. Das sich die Toiletten im zweiten Stock, über eine Treppe zu erreichen, sollte berücksichtigt werden.Der in der Vergangenheit unangenehme Küchengeruch, der sich durch das ganze Haus zog, ist durch eine verbesserte Lüftungsanlage vermindert worden.Nun zu den Speisen und Getränken: wohlschmeckend, abwechslungsreich, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Diese Aussage gilt auch für die Getränke. Kurz gesagt: "Gepflegte Speisen und Getränke". Das bei unserem letzten Besuch Grappa und Sambuca verwechselt wurde, sehen wir gerne nach. denn der Service war ansonsten ohne Makel, aufmerksam (nimmt die Garderobe ab und hilft wieder in den Mantel) und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder."

"We have eaten at hundreds of restaurants over the years. This restaurant offers good food at a fair price. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the menu offers a great variety, service is quick, restaurant is very clean and seating is attractive. They do not accept credit cards. I am only giving them 3 stars because on a cool July evening the restaurant was extremely warm. Most of our fellow customers were fanning themselves to cool off since this restaurant is not air conditioned. Probably better to visit when it is cold outside."

"through the positive assessment here at google we invested in the restaurant to eat something. we decided to have a tasteful and optical catastrophe with organ sauce and a carved hawaii both. dekoratiw is not more sweet dressed on the dish. at the duck were 4 croquettes on the teller where she expected more for the money of red cabbage was tasteful also not good, was quite dry and seemed old. the shinitzel hawaii, which was served with a baguette, was also dressed sweet. the carving was dry and hardly covered with cheese and pineapple. for the carving I look ananas in slices well suited. decorations could have been on the berries or grapes, and what is important is more cheese. the pommes were very salted to the croquettes. the first impression was unfortunately very dissuasive for us, which in the rule also leads to the first impression that remains the last."
