Great pub like a tardis. Relaxing. There were 7 of us all ordering different foods everyone was pleased with their meal. Dessert may be a little expensive but overall very tasty. Thank you to Jake for great service.

I had haddock and chips for lunch on Saturday. The chips were amazing, but the fish was the worst battered fish I have had in years. It may be enjoyable if you love batter, but not so much if you enjoy the taste of fish.

A big group of us went for drinks in the evening, was told last orders at 10:40pm so we went to bar to order and then to be told sorry can’t serve anymore as till was taken… absolutely terrible way to run a pub which shuts at 11pm not 10:40pm

We booked for boxing day lunch. All three courses we had came well presented and was plentiful. We both left stuffed. Everything was cooked lovely and the turkey was so moist. The staff who served our meal where so friendly and helpful. Nothing was any bother We will certainly return

We visited the Marsh Harrier today for lunch. The service was good and food served quickly. Would recommend the gammon and triple cooked chips and the shepherds pie. We followed the main course with delicious chocolate brownies served with honeycomb ice-cream. Will definitely be back soon.

Picked this place as the menu looked nice and it was close by to the hotel we were staying at so could stop off on our way back after a day out The service was really good and staff very friendly Service was fast Good value for money The food was delicious The atmosphere was lovely very cosy and warm and a real fire going Was a great place

Good food, service and pub. Brilliant selection of lagers with Asahi, Estrella and Peroni as I remember? ‘Steph’ and ‘Jake’ were brilliant too, with both being very attentive and friendly. Steak sandwich good and my partner enjoyed her fish and chips. Only wish the pub was closer to us, the kind of pub you’d be lucky to have as your local, you know? Very much look forward to returning

Hubby and I had a lovely Christmas lunch here today, served by the friendly Zoe. Starters of king prawns and smoked salmon were a perfect size and very nice. The turkey main course was fab, plenty of moist turkey breast, six different vegetables (we added cauliflower cheese) as well as roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. We were both too full for a pudding but there were several I would have liked! All sat by a nice fire Dropped one star just because the main course could have been hotter. Will definitely return.

3 of us this time for lunch, we had the festive set menu, the Turkey roast was delicious, nice and tender and plenty of it, we also added extra gravy, The vegetarian option of seed roast I was told was delicious also, only criticism I was told on that would be substitute the salad with potatoes as salad does not really go well with gravy and veg! Staff were lovely and friendly, Coffee great, ambience perfect and very festive, Great job all of you, we will return again if you keep that Chef! Congrats and Merry Christmas to you all xx
