Had a meal with friends here last night and we all had a great night! Beautiful food, bar staff and waiting staff were brilliant and would definitely recommend a visit, stunning building and setting.

The venue itself is wonderful but the staff and the food are what makes this restaurant fantastic. We had a lovely evening with great service and would definitely be back and highly recommend it! Thankyou

I had the belly pork, I died and went to heaven. Never known so much flavour in one dish. I had it withe green beans, and they were cooked to perfection. The staff were really good and friendly, but it is Durham, and everyone is like that there. Voir le carte

Had a wonderful afternoon tea the device was excellent our waitress was Kerry who could not do enough for you and our little granddaughter .the cakes were beautiful you could taste every flaver in them the sandwich were very fresh the scones were warm with jam and clotted cream x

The service was outstanding. All the staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in until we left; we were truly well taken care of. We especially loved Coleen—she was down-to-earth and super efficient, ensuring everyone was happy during their time at the bar. We were also thrilled to meet Marco himself—what a wonderful person! The building is absolutely stunning and so full of character. Our waitress, Kirsty was very friendly and attentive and as for the food everything cooked to perfection. I asked for pink lamb, and it was pink, soft and delicious. The accompanying fondant potato was soft and huge! The dressed crab comes with separate mayonnaise, which is a great idea you mix it to your own taste. The potted duck was delicious and had excellent texture. I would definitely eat there again.

This place did not disappoint! The staff were lovely. When we arrived, the two of us were shown to our table and inquired about the Steak Chateaubriand. I prefer my steak medium, while my companion likes it rare. The waiter recommended cooking it medium, with my portion taken from the outer part of the steak and his from the center, which was perfect advice. The steak was absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Ruth, was fantastic—she was attentive and made sure we were comfortable, offered suggestions for side dishes, and was incredibly accommodating. Since it was a quiet time, she even asked if I wanted to see a private room, which was beautiful. Ruth was very knowledgeable about the building...

the warm reception we got when we arrived at lunch was nice. we were shown on our table and then our waitress came and imagined that her name was ruth. such a lively and happy young lady. we asked for the lunch special menu, but then to say was not available until next week, which was a scandal, as was what we were there for!ruth our adorable waiter gave recommendation and she was not wrong, was ordered main menu. I had smoky and it was the best I had tasty. bob had dived duck and that was also exceptional our main was lamm brain pie and honey glazed bauch dick all washed with a beautiful bottle red then we went into the bar area a finished with a gin cocktail our today visit in this beautif...
