"Upon arriving in Southport on a cold, dark winter evening, three girls from Manchester spotted the lights shining from Mamma Mia on Lord Street. Despite the late hour (only 8:30pm), they were unsure if they could find a restaurant still open. The only downside was feeling uncomfortable asking for a table, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5. However, we quickly made our choices and the waiter was incredibly kind and lovely, although we didn't catch his name. The food was absolutely divine and the service was perfect. The only slight letdown was the front of house, sorry for the inconvenience."

Have been visiting Pizzeria Mamma Mia for over 30 years. The food is always tasty and very generous portions. The staff, past and present, have always been attentive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Always excellent food!!! Just wish you would put pads on the bottom of the chair legs the noise of people dragging them around instead of lifting them is unbelievable. It wont stop us coming though!!!

What a nice experience, great wine even better food nice staff . We have been coming to Southport for over 20 years mother in law) and this is the first time we have tried this restaurant, certainly won’t be the last really enjoyable.

beautiful meal. had lachspastea and the sauce is to die. visit them southport for three days and went there every night. I couldn't get enough. I wish we lived there. just a little nigger. my man has a bad back and the chairs are so hard. we could have stayed longer and then have a sweet one. x

celebrate my men 70th birthday. we have a table reserved that we were asked if it's okay. very attentive staff and as friendly as always. drinks and eating ordered. nice eating, well presented and delicious. after eating happy birthday played and a dessert appeared with candles. beautiful surprise. many thanks for making it special

had not visited a great meal in a long time. if they take time to stewing over their order, I suggest that they look at the menu in advance. there is a large selection of pizza, pasta, steak etc. eating was nice and the staff very nice. service was timely, but not hastened. the restaurant is small, so I would always advise to book in advance, also for 2. there are limited parking spaces outside pay and display or free after 6.
