"Visited on a Friday afternoon/evening on a work afternoon out as a large group and was not disappointed! Started with grilled halloumi cheese, no sweet chilli sauce or condiments to go with it but some lettuce salad on the side. Lovely thick pieces of halloumi cooked perfectly and a generous portion for a starter at the usual price of upwards of £3 and closer to £4. Totally worth it and with the pitta bread on the table, chucking a piece in there is a winner for the taste palette. The main event really was impressive, I opted for the £10.90 Lyalena Mixed Grill. Lamb shish, chicken shish and lamb kafta were the main components and were accompanied by rice, chips, side salad and a stunning mayo and chilli side sauce. Considering the very reasonable price, the portion size was more than impressive and realistically could have been a meal for two. If you’re a good eater and like the challenge of battling meat sweats though, it’s more than worth the effort! Located in the heart of City Road in the Welsh capital, you may struggle to find parking but a drive up and down the side streets should prove fruitful eventually. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the city centre though, so not completely off the beaten path. No alcohol is sold there either, so you’re if you’re looking for a drink with your food: it’ll be a soft drink or water. Overall, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy, which is always a plus. It’s suitable for couples and groups and it’s worth a visit if you’re looking to try somewhere different and take in some authentic Lebanese food."

I've been here a few times and the food is always amazing. Portions are huge! Mansaf chicken is a highlight. Staff are great and very friendly. Highly recommend

Me and my partner shared a vegan mezze board, I had a chicken shawarma with hummus and she had a lentil soup. The food was excellent, came quickly and the guy who served us was very nice and polite, we will be back soon with some friends! Very good prices too.

I’d just like to say that we are very extremely critical with our options on how good and bad food is. Normally we are of the opinion nothing is good enough. We were quite skeptic About trying this place but hand on heart we were extremely impressed. For me this visit was a solid 8.8/10. Food was almost just right to my pallet. Strange lighting inside and I just didn’t feel comfortable for some reason. The food was bland, not much flavour. Especially after all the reviews I read I was expecting some really amazing food. Service was okay but nothing special. I don’t know why but the lighting inside reminds me of a clinic or hospital. I think dimmer warmer lighting would set the right feel and food needs more flavour. That building has had many restaurants open and close and wouldn’t surprise me if this one doesn’t last there.

I have regularly visited this place since they opened couple of years ago. I simply love it. We usually order hot and cold mezzos as well as Fatayers and Lahm Ajeen. The place is neat and clean. Staff are friendly and help you chose your dishes. Service is very quick. Not expensive at all. Mainly Kebanese and Shami cuisine. They also serve you tea with cardamom or with mint in tea pits and Eastcans. Their bread and dips are awesome. The Shawerma wraps are to die for. Falafels, Kibbeh, Mana’eesh....etc. My friend have also had full hot meals and grill menus and liked it very much. We have also ordered take away which they deliver. We have ordered good to take with us while we were having dinn...
