"This charming Italian restaurant exudes traditional vibes and offers an authentic dining experience. Their early bird 2-course menu is a great deal at just £13.50 per person, featuring all the classic dishes you'd expect. We decided to try the regular menu, and I enjoyed the calamari fritters followed by the sea bass with mushroom ravioli. Unfortunately, they were out of lobster that night. The fish was perfectly cooked and the ravioli in red pepper sauce was outstanding. My partner ordered panzanella, a dish made of pieces of pizza dough with a garlic mayo dip, followed by the steak Diane. He raved about how tender and delicious the steak was. The restaurant was bustling with a good atmosphere and attentive staff. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience."

At first we considered dining at this restaurant in Dalbeattie, but upon closer inspection, it always appeared closed or unwelcoming.

Old school Italian, pretty decent food for a really good price in their pre 6.30 deal. Friendly staff, good service. Would certainly go again.

Always look forward to takeaway pizza and we weren't disappointed this time either. The tropical pizza has massive prices of pineapple on it and the meat feast is a proper feast of meat. The mince beef on it is especially good. Best pizza we have had in the area Voir le carte

Came in with my friend for a lovely catch up and meal. Staff were helpful and lovely. The atmosphere was great very relaxing. I had a fillet steak and my friend had some pasta made to her liking and we weren’t disappointed 10/10 food. Would definitely come again!

Had a great meal with my wife and two friends from the southern region. The chicken marsala was delicious and the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. My wife also loved the salmon dish, which was cooked to perfection as well. The pizza was also fantastic. The staff were efficient and extremely friendly.

I took my Grandson and his lovely fiance for a celebration meal. The service was outstanding. We each had different choices from the menu and had a sneaky taste of one another's dishes. Yummy. I live in Dalbeattie but only go to Luigi's when family are visiting mores the pity. I have never been disappointed with any dish I have had. Voir le carte

Our third time eating at Luigi’s while staying in nearby Rockcliffe. Not only does the restaurant look run down from outside but the food was very bland. Starters weren’t bad- garlic prawns and a caprese salad but my chicken /chilli pizza was tasteless and totally soggy in the middle. I don’t think I ate more than a third of it. Hubby had a penne pasta primavera which again was lacking in taste. He had to ask for some Parmesan and received a bit more than a thimbleful! Very disappointing and we won’t be back!

this place is fire asl, the outside kinda made me second guess cuz it looks like a fast food place but when i got inside it was proper nice, everyone was talking and the staff are polite and cool . my dad got a fillet which apparently was better then some of the steak specialist restaurants near our home and i got a salad cuz i had a bowl of cereal before coming and you can’t really mess up a salad. we also got puddings, tiramisu which was sooooo good, and profiteroles which was obviously good as well. so yes i recommend going for sure

"Myself and my partner where just outside of portpatrick yesterday and wondered about somewhere to have lunch, it was about 12.30pm on a scorching hot Bank holiday Sunday. We hadn’t actually planned to go there to start with but thought why not. I saw on Facebook Connors Restaurant had just uploaded a Facebook post about stopping there for a choice of 2 lovely menus and a cheeky gin, sounded perfect! The post had went up about 15 mins before we arrived, so I assumed they must be looking to take some tables. I walked down and there where 2 tables taken outside, and 1 table inside. I asked if I could get a table for 2 outside if possible and I was told no they had been reserved and I thought okay but before I could even open my mouth again she said all tables inside where also reserved that they where fully booked. There was 1 table inside, other wise it was pretty empty. Ok no problem, we found somewhere else so no big deal, after about 2 hours spent having food and wondering around we went back to the car (parked just up from Connors restaurant) and I noticed again there was only the 1 table outside, and no one at the others. I’m maybe wrong but I felt like this was odd, the inside didn’t look like it was “fully booked” either. It actually looked a little dead compared to everywhere else. This has also happened to my friends a couple of times too they’ve went in and the place has been stone dead but got turned away because of the excuse of being fully booked. Just felt like it was not quite right. Sorry I never usually write reviews but felt like I had to get my point across on this one. We would love to dine here and hopefully will in the future."
