Average quality food for an average price. Would recommend for a low budget company team meal. Their Biryani is above average quality for the price you pay.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Lovage on Valentine's Day and the food was fantastic, some of the best Indian food we've ever had. The service was fantastic for friendliness and efficiency. The music was also lovely and very relaxing, without being too loud or overbearing. I highly recommend eating at Lovage.

Our group (5) ordered a variety of starters and mains, everything from a mild korma to a hot jalfrezi, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The portion size is good, and the food is full of flavour. Loved the lime pickle with the pompadoms too. The waiting staff was very attentive, the value was good, and I'd recommend as a good choice for Indian food in the area. Voir le carte

Our overall impression was of a rather unfriendly restaurant. We asked for a different table than the one offered and that didn't seem to go down well though the restaurant was not full. The staff seemed rather unfocused kept trying to take away the poppadums and sauces before we had finished and missed bringing one of the main dishes until we asked. The food was ok and the house wine surprisingly good but I don't think we'll rush back.

Me and my partner went for some pre theatre food to be greeted in a rather unfriendly way. I also got told we couldn't sit in a reserved table before even being asked wether we had a reservation. As we were the only people in there at the time we could hear a small bit of the music as it was being drowned out by the waiting staff eating crisps behind the bar to then have them not wash their hands before serving our food. Overall it was a poor dining experience that gave let down what could have Been a lovely meal. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that's looking for a friendly and pleasant dining experience!

We ate at New Jomuna as we were staying overnight on business. We were all very pleased with the meal and the service was largely very good. In particular one of the staff members was very friendly and attentive and we were asked many times whether all was ok. I was a little disappointed at the angry look I received upon paying from the bill on card without an added tip. I was using a corporate card and cannot leave a tip on card as it would not have matched the value of the receipt. We did leave a cash tip and I always tip in cash anyway whether business or pleasure but it did not dampen the experience, it was just something I though unnecessary.
