"Siamo stati qui l la prima sera appena arrivati dopo un viaggio abbastanza pesante, siamo due famiglie con figli adolescenti, abbiamo scelto di mangiare la pizza. Prezzi abbordabili, la pizze sono ben farcite, da migliorare un po’ la pasta un po’ unta per i miei gusti). Discreta scelta di birre. Torneremo per provare i piatti perché l’aspettò era molto invitante."

"We visited Zenzero several times whilst on a family holiday in Puglia. Our hotel was beautiful but the dinner menu was a little too fancy and not really to our taste. We asked a member of staff where he would eat locally and he immediately recommended Zenzero we are so glad that he did. Zenzero is a small, friendly, family run restaurant with a great atmosphere and fantastic food, enjoyed by mainly local people. The menu is only in Italian but that was no problem because one of the restaurant assistants, the lovely Sylvia, also speaks fluent English, French and some German. All orders are taken by the owner Dino who, along with Sylvia, was so friendly and could not have made the three of us feel more welcome. A wonderful daily selection of fresh fish is displayed each evening in a glass topped cold store, just inside of the entrance. We thought the Sea Bass baked in sea salt was amazing, only to be surpassed by grilled Turbot on a later visit. Our young daughter loves Pizza and was taken to meet the dedicated Pizza Chef who showed her how her order was made, prior to placing it into the traditional Pizza oven. Do try the house special starter selections which were all so delicious, as indeed were the deserts, especially Sylvia’s Panna Cotta. . The wine list is small but good and, like the food, very reasonably priced. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this excellent, traditional Italian restaurant, it certainly helped make our Italian holiday more special."

"Bellissima serata, posto molto tranquillo e discreto, menu con poche portate ma tutte molto buone e rivisitate molto bene dallo chef. I camerieri e il caposala sono attenti ed educati . Ci hanno portato delle pettule salentine di benvenuto, abbiamo mangiato le melanzane ripiene (il retrogusto è un po amaro, ma dipende dalla melanzana salentina che è amara di natura), un ottimo tortino di patate, e un frittino spettacolare (a mio avviso geniale la foglia di basilico fritta). Il primo ravioli con burrata e funghi molto buono, il fritto di pesce insomma, un po' salato e la pastella era quasi assente. Per finire sporcamusi davvero eccellente e whisky e caffe. Da bere bottiglia di chardonnay del Salento (fatto a taranto) da rivedere secondo me i vini perché una bella cucina come questa non può offrire solo un vino per ogni colore. Bisogna lasciare scelta al cliente. Conto onestissimo e whisky e caffe offerto dalla casa. Voto 9 con piccoli accorgimenti critici per migliorare e tornare a 10. Consigliatissimo"
