Lord Clyde - Menu

Enjoyed it. Had a six course tasting menu. Good food and friendly staff. Can't fault it.

We had a set menu in the afternoon. It was presented with sufficient portion size and everything for £32. You also have an excellent wine list. Make sure you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

I was expecting bistro pub food but found exquisite gourmet restaurant fare. This little gem of pub near Bollington was such a pleasant surprise. We chose a la carte but there were set menus available. Everything tasted wonderful and was well presented and the wine list was extensive. This place is expensive but is well worth it.

it's hard to pick up favorite dishes from such a brilliant night, but "Gunpowder Scallop" is up there. a perfectly crunchy samosa filled with beautiful, slightly seasoned scallop would have been a worthy dish in its own right. but beside him it was a stunning scallop wetare, served simply with lime, mint and granatapfel it was an exquisite combination of aromen; clean, fresh and zingy.

We visited on Friday noon and had the tasting menu with paired wines. The food was excellent some of the dishes were absolutely excellent, and the paired wines were also excellent. The staff was very exactly the right balance of friendly and knowledgeable and very professional. The decor is somewhat economical, and they only seem to be the bog standard dark wooden audience tables, so that the ambience might be a bit (metaphoric) warmed up, but overall this is a small point in a generally excellent experience.

We went with the expectation that we wanted to eat something we had seen on the online menu. It was a set menu for Sunday dinner, which was all right, the food was nice and freshly cooked. If we ask for menu For another visit, the menu was still different online. When we asked why we were told that the menu was changed all the time. Not sure that it mentions this online, I have to go and have a look. The service was nice and very friendly staff, but there seemed to be something missing. Maybe we need another visit before I can judge.

We were at The Lord Clyde at various occasions and were always impressed by the quality of food and the kindness of the staff. That was the first time we were on Sunday noon. We ordered a series of appetizers, main and desserts, and each course was delicious. The Bratbeef just melted in the mouth, and the Yorkshire puddings were huge; we were even delivered with extra engraving. The ambience was perfect. We paid just under £30 per capita for three courses, alcohol and coffee, which is very valuable given the quality of the food. Thanks for another great culinary experience in Cheshire's best restaurant.

chef seriously came by and we talked about the meal. for me, his eating has been a little dressed since januar. we really liked it at that time, but it's much more together, maybe jealous and less fussy and technology driven. he mentioned the influence of his time to work a stage in Frantzen/Lindeberg (now only french, where the elements are paired and are simplified to a few. it's just the right amount of creativity now I think. there is a tendency among some guys to use all the latest gadgets and modern techniques, but sometimes the end product suffers as a result. it may look pretty, but its lost, it is in terms of taste. booked for my fiancés birthday, and after all the comments and reviews previously submitted I was keen to see what it was all about. We were the last sitting for the Sunday lunch hence the restaurant was quiet, would like to go again when busy and more atmosphere, but this did not deter from the spectacular food served, you can tell they take pride in what they do. The waitress was attentive and friendly and the quality of the food was first class.
