"I went to Lokal around 6ish on a Thursday night without a reservation. The lady who worked there was nice enough to arrange me to one of the tables outside the restaurant. The staff there were extremely polite and attentive. I've seen some of the reviews saying that they will print an English menu on the spot for you. When I was there, they came with a German and English version, which is handy as I don't know German at all. As for the food, I asked the waitress if there's something I really have to try. She said she's not sure because they change their menu frequently based on the ingredients they have. So I ordered an entrecot steak and a green salad. They were both really fresh and delicious! All in all, it was a very nice dining experience! Thank you so much Lokal!"

We had dinner at the lokal at it all matched. Nice wine (biologic) great fresh local biological food and a chef that knows how to get the tastebutts tinteling. A mesmorising dinner Danke Lokal!!!

Found this great restaurant on Eater 38 Berlin. Our family got the broccoli soup, lamb appetizer, pork chop, beef steak, pasta, side salad and gratin. Everything was absolutely amazing. Super high quality and great service. Would love to eat here again!!!

The menu has great options, most of which were on the lighter side. I got a potato soup and a salad with mashed peas -- both things I wouldn't have ordered elsewhere but I had seen great reviews and wanted to try something new. Was not disappointed! Will be going back.

Everything was super great-the place and design, the staff was very kind and helpful, and the food was sooo good! The plating was marvelous, the tastes were surprising and delicious. Real value for money, the hype is right. Don't miss this restaurant, especially if you're hotel is at the Mitte area.

Lokal is a wonderful restaurant in the centre of Mitte. It is quite small and you need to book in advance. The food is delicious modern European and there's a great wine menu. The atmosphere is perfect: relaxed, nicely decorated with friendly and attentive staff (even when the place is packed). Highly recommend!

We had some wonderful meals in Berlin, but the food here was the best. Crackers was a bit too much show, and the other ones we enjoyed were excellent, but not unusual. Lokal was in an unassuming neighborhood, the space and waitstaff were uninspired, but the food was creative, unusual, and very, very good. If you're a foodie, go here.

Local is an attractive restaurant in an attractive part of Berlin (Mitte). We sat outside in perfect weather, enjoying our food and the passing scene. Berlin ranges from grubby to yuppified; this area is definitely the latter. We had the wild boar and the lamb stew. Both were very good and we would recommend them. The service was a bit amateurish - to the point of being amusing at times. But all in all it was a very pleasant evening.

We walked past Lokal a few times on Saturday night and it was PUMPING - we decided we'll come back the next night for dinner. The staff were super friendly and super accommodating to us who do not speak German. We had the Lard to start - I loved it. We shared the boar entree, chicken and pasta - all were very flavoursome and a good serving size (vs. Australian standard).We thought it was a little expensive, but still glad we had dinner here and we were overall very happy. Would recommend this quite restaurant for a delicious food, wonderful staff and a lovely atmosphere.
