L'Oceanic - Menu

Warm welcome with great fun-our French and their English! But we got there in the end. Food was excellent and service prompt. Prices on a very varied menu are reasonable. Highly recommended.

We visited during our recent stay, both had mussels, I had the garlic cream sauce and husband had white wine. Both excellent and enjoyed with a rose wine. Always busy with locals and holidaymakers.

Best Ribeye Steak I've had for a long time. Service was First Class, staff very helpful and food was great. I'm never sure I should order Steak when I'm abroad, but this was perfect. Will certainly visit again when we go through.

Had lunch here after a visit to the market. Just brilliant, the mussels were amazing as were the desserts, would highly recommend for every age. The staff were great as well, the place was full with French which was why went in. I’m going back if we go there again, thanks L’oceanic best meal we’ve had on this trip

Nous étions sur un camping local et sommes descendus en ville pour manger quelque chose. L'Oceanic était très animé, mais le serveur nous a trouvé une nouvelle table. Après avoir lu que les portions étaient généreuses, nous sommes directement passés au plat principal. Nous avons pris des moules à la crème avec une bouteille de muscadet. Nous avons déjà goûté ce plat dans plusieurs endroits en France et c'était parfaitement assorti au vin. Quand nous avons fini, nous étions satisfaits. Le service était amical, efficace et discret. Très recommandé.

Le restaurant n'accepte pas les réservations, donc nous avons dû attendre dehors, ce qui n'est pas un problème. Mais de nombreuses personnes ont pris des tables alors qu'elles ne s'arrêtaient pas. Aucun membre du personnel ne nous a informés sur le temps d'attente et la disponibilité. À la fin, nous avons eu une table à côté des toilettes dans une salle avec une décoration effrayante. Nous voulions aller dehors et avons dû répéter notre demande plusieurs fois avant d'obtenir enfin une table à l'extérieur. Dans l'ensemble, le restaurant était bon, mais l'organisation et la communication du personnel étaient assez mauvaises.

We arrived about 8pm and the place was packed, queued for a table for about 5 mins. But it was well worth the wait. The place was vey buzzy and the staff were excellent. Had the house Salad to start followed by a huge portion of Moules Marininere, that we could not finish! Large bowls are provided for the shells too. The Moules Marininere, were delicious, and possibly one of the best we have ever had, great value. We had a nice bottle of Rose too. Could not fault the place and they were still queuing up to come in when we left. Lots of families here to all tucking into the Moules Marininere! No frills just good food and good service. If we are in this area again we will be back!

Lorsque nous sommes allés au centre-ville, nous avons facilement remarqué que ce restaurant est la star du village. Attire définitivement les locaux et aussi les touristes, il doit donc offrir de bonnes affaires. Nous avons essayé et nous sommes satisfaits. : Je dois dire qu'ils ont une ambiance amicale avec les enfants bien qu'ils n'aient pas de coin enfants. Nous étions 2 adultes avec 2 garçons de moins de 4 ans et tous les deux étaient très fatigués mais très affamés. C'était une situation assez chaotique. Ils voulaient manger mais aussi faire du drame. La bonne nouvelle, c'est que personne dans le restaurant ne s'en soucie. Personne n’a fait d’histoires. Il semble qu’ils s’y habituent et...

We visited as a family of 4, chosen by my husband due to this looking 'busier ' than the other restaurants in the town. It is centrally located and there is seating inside and out. We hadn 't booked and were offered a table straight away. The menu was in French and English so easy enough to choose. Hubby had the burger, I had steak and our children each had the nuggets kids meal. I tried with the little bit of French I can speak to ask the waitress for a 'bun ' to go with the kids burger meal (or the burger just comes as a 'patty ' .
