Had wonderful meals here during my month long stay in Cortona. They were so friendly and accommodating and food was awesome!

Lovely family owned restaurant. Paola is the chef and her husband and son handle the service. The Tagliata was the very best of many we tried in Cortona. All the dishes were excellent.

Nonostante il locale pieno la signora Paola ci ha accolti, consigliato e coccolati. Ci ha proposto piatti tipici cucinati con ottime materie prime. Se vi trovate a Cortona una tappa alla Locanda al Pozzo Antico è obbligatoria. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo Consigliatissimo!

I titolari sanno bene come accontentare i propri clienti, con un giardino molto suggestivo e dei piatti preparati secondo i dettami della tradizione. Tutto fantastico, ma segnalo i cantucci fatti in casa con il cedro... indimenticabili! Bellissima l'atmosfera casalinga, ma nello stesso tempo elegante.

Devo dire che speravo in qualcosa di più. Il menù è molto ampio e accattivante, ma il servizio è un pò improvvisato e anche come pietanze l'aspettativa era più alta rispetto al risultato finale. nel centro storico di breve, in una bella cittadina centrale, a due passi dalla piazza della repubblica, c'è un bel piccolo posto: la locanda all'antico pozzo. essere guidato dal proprietario, un insegnante nel coinvolgerti nella scelta tra un primo di tartufo, fumo, salsa di cinghiale), alcune minestre o secondi molto gustosi. prezzo onesto

We were ten our family group four teens and one nine year old and five adults. The service was friendly and accommodated all of our different requests with a smile. The Hunter's plate and Assorted Cheeses for the table were a wonderful opening. Afterwards pasta with truffles and grandma's ragu were favorites. We will definitely come again. And, the price was certainly great value.

The restaurant actually is nice. We asked for a table outside. The main waiter did not understand and told us thru his young colleague we should seat outside. Inside terrace is more dressed up which is fine. Language skills zero. The young waiter was ok but due to no English skills he could not explain the menu. We waited quite long as well for everything.
