"Asked for a takeaway and was told I had to phone, so had a sit down meal instead, only space was outside in the cold, was not impressed with the food today at all. I usually have a take away and it’s been very nice and you can pile on the food but they now dish up food before you come so not happy about that either, paid 13.99 today just for a plate as waiter service was non existent. Food today was a 3-4 out of ten, way below what I normally get hope next time it improves.took the scrapes home for the dog in foil hope he enjoyes Food drinks: Didn't like my pint is Carlsberg"

"We had a lovely carvery here today (Sunday) more than I could eat. I had beef and turkey and as much vegetables as I could get on the very large plate I took a few slices home with me it was delicious and extra gravy was brought to our table. We have already booked for next Sunday. My husband has difficulty walking ,and with not many packing places the lady that served us food offered to move her car so he could come up closer to the door so very thoughtful of her. Staff could not do enough for you. Highly recommended. Les and veronica"

"I met up with a friend for an early lunch at this restaurant. It was busy when we arrived, and it took an hour and a half for our soup and ciabatta to be served. I have visited this restaurant many times over the years, but I was very disappointed this time. The restaurant was very cold, with the majority of customers wearing their coats. I found this unacceptable, especially considering the prices of the food and the fact that the restaurant was crowded. The female restroom was dirty, with black dust covering the surfaces and no soap available. I believe this is also unacceptable. The presence of a wood burner could greatly improve the atmosphere of the cafe and make it more welcoming and cozy, rather than just decorative."

"We visited this restaurant on a Bank Holiday Monday for lunch. We both ordered the Sirloin steak with pepper sauce. The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. The meals were outstanding - the 8 oz steaks were cooked perfectly, and the side of chips, peas, and mushrooms were served hot and fresh. We also enjoyed two glasses of wine with our meal, and found the prices to be very reasonable. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to the staff for providing a great dining experience."

"We booked this place for a family birthday Sunday lunch after looking at their website. We booked over the phone for 11 of us and travelled the 16 miles from Swansea. When the waitress handed us the menus we were shocked to see that the prices had jumped from the website prices of 12.95 to £17.95 per adult and from £7.95 to 9.95 per child. £5 increase for adults and £2 for children. When we asked the manager she said that the website prices were old old prices. We told her that we weren 't told this when we phoned to make the booking, her reply was 'we don 't tell people '. After explaining how far we had travelled and that we couldn 't afford those prices she said she would take £2 off each adult. We simply couldn 't afford to pay what they were asking and left. Very disappointed by their false advertising, be aware before you book this place."
