"15 of us arrived at 7.30, we had a table prebooked. Starters came out at about 8.30 but then mains didn't arrive until 9.20, meaning that that people who didn't have starters, had their first meal at this time. I ordered a medium rare ribeye stake which was £30, as the steak arrived, I ordered a large glass of red wine to go with it. My steak was delivered last to the table, the steak was cold and the chips were piping hot. I complained to the waitress and she asked if the lt could reheat it, to which I said no as the steak wouldn't be cooked medium rare anymore. The waitress spoke to the manager and got my plate but the manager never came up to speak to me or offer anything else. Now I'm paying for the glass of wine that I ordered to go with my steak, which I'm not having. Good job I had a starter. Also, no one ever came in to update us on what's happening on food delay or even offer us a drink. A very disappointing night to finish the West Highland Way adventure."

They cancelled the room, via email, 3 days before arrival. Not a good position to leave someone in...

I ordered the kimchi meal for my main course, and it was fantastic! The steak was also incredible. Unfortunately, the French onion soup was disappointing.

Booked a room in January for May, end of April suddenly our room was cancelled without any reason. Never happened to me before, very unreliable and unprofessional.

Room felt small and cramped. Didn't really see any staff and restaurant prices put us off eating here. Mediocre at best, very expensive. Rooms: 2 Service: 2 Location: 3

Friendly staff and delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. Maybe a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area but worth it! We ordered cranachan for desert, beware it is very boozy!

We dined at the Silly Goose restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The food was exquisite, and the staff were wonderfully attentive. I highly recommend it! Service: 5, Location: 4.

The hotel cancelled on us days in advance! We booked our Westhighland Way Trip months ago and were excited to stay here. Unfortunately the hotel cancelled our booking reservation without giving further information or support to find an equivalent room/Hotel in Fort William. Very upsetting and rude!

We enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at this lovely place after finishing the West Highland Way with our dog. The establishment has been recently renovated and is absolutely beautiful. Our room was fantastic, featuring a spacious bathroom, and we slept like logs in the incredibly comfortable bed! The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious. We also had dinner on our last night, and the food was absolutely fabulous! It was a wonderful way to celebrate our WHW journey. On top of that, they are extremely dog-friendly. Tilly had a great time, with treats upon arrival, and she was able to join us in the dining room, receiving plenty of love and attention from the fri...

"A group of 8 of us went in before we got on the Harry Potter Jacobite steam train dressed in cosplay. They took orders of some of us but refused to acknowledge and take the orders for the last two of us, no idea why. After the first four got served they asked nicely the two older women if we could get our order in and get served because we were all together and going on the train. Still they refused to acknowledge the two of us,(except for nasty stares/stink eye) take our order or serve us. But they did take the order of the next 10 or so people after us while continuing to act like we didn't exist. This was very unprofessional, uncalled for and just plain cruel and mean. In case it was an accident (which I severely doubt it because while dressed in cosplay we really stand out in a crowd) it was very politely called to their attention, and yet they still avoided correcting their mistake/acknowledging us/taking a food order/conducting a business transaction in a place of business and continued carrying out refusal of any interaction except for the nasty stares. I cried a lot and went to the lobby area and the nice lady in the gift shop was a very nice, had muffins and coffee and she took my order and fed me. No problems with anyone else in the town of Fort William serving us in Harry Potter cosplay, or on the Jacobite steam train, or in Malaig. Every business we went to,except for Lochaber Cafe, was more than welcoming and very pleased that we stopped in. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
