Have been twice. First time was good food and reasonable wine could be found. Second visit was New Years Eve. The food was average and the wine was really expensive plus the waiter kept trying to get us to buy the most expensive. I would not go for NYE, but its nice the rest of the time.

Really nice and unusual food from Puglia in Southern Italy. Cheaper wine was not nice and the rest of the wine list was excessively expensive be for the price and style of the restaurant. Over £40 for a decent bottle. Staff just could understand that we wanted to say hello before looking at the menu. So we kept getting asked if we were ready to order when we had hardly sat down. The cold cuts of sea food were really tasty carpaccio style slivers. Very nice.

I would highly recommend Le Veli, I booked for a party of 14 ladies for a hen party dinner, the food was of excellent quality and there was plenty of it. We were sharing various foods which were all delicious and plentiful. The wines were excellent quality too, and the service was perfect. I must thank Rafaela for making our evening really enjoyable. My guests all really enjoyed the dining experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves good food and wine, friendly staff, attentive, and plenty of delicious food. Had dinner with friends, I was the only one from Puglia and I wanted to show my friends the good food from Puglia. The food was good but not the best to represent Apulian Cuisine! The portions a bit too small compared to the price. None of the desserts were typically from Puglia, the chef should do more research or should be from Puglia to unrealistic the concept of the restaurant. The staff should give more advices and suggestions and also smile more! The manger was very knowledgeable and polite. Normally in other restaurants I have been offered a limocello or amaro, but not in this one. Overall it was a nice evening and good food, but space for improvement and be more Apulian

We sat outside so that may have been the problem. The cheese on toast with sliced courgette was nice enough. The meat platter didn’t have nearly enough bread so they charged us for extra at £4 making the starter £14! No oils or condiments were offered. I ordered the Sea Bass Mediterranean which I was told didn’t need any accompanying dishes. It did! At £16.50 it came in a small pool of tomato dressing with some shrivelled up olives. When I complained they offered vegetables but but the time they arrived the fish was cold and I had lost my appetite. I had booked a table here for me, my mam and my pregnant sister after reading the menu online and the reviews, which seemed generally positive. When we arrived we were seated and ordered a bottle of sparking water. We were giving the lunch time menu even though it was half five. They don 't start the evening menu until 7pm. I had not viewed the lunch time menu online and I can 't recall there actually being an option to view the lunch time menu? I may be wrong on this account but I can 't remember seeing it.
