"Such a shame! This is a beautiful little deli on the market square in Ely and my partner and I both have family in Ely so we come to visit the city fairly often but the service is such a let down to this establishment!...The sandwiches are lovely but not worth it for the unhappy staff. I had ordered a takeaway sandwich and coffee and only had a dirty look from the member of staff but I thought perhaps they were just having an “off” day so upon receiving my order I cheerily thanked her and wished her a good day to which it was ignored. Not a terrible error but did leave me feeling a little down hearted. However when my partner (who is medically exempt from wearing a mask) on a separate occasion went in to order a couple of coffees he was quite aggressively told to wear a mask and when we explained that he was exempt, he was simply sneered at. Now I truly understand the importance of enforcing health and safety in the climate of COVID however I would expect a professional environment to consider and understand that people do have hidden disabilities which they may not always feel comfortable explaining to strangers nor do they have to! This felt very insensitive and my partner left feeling extremely embarrassed and unwelcome to the shop. I truly urge the members of staff to be a little more considerate in the future to other customers but sadly we will not be returning."

I had a great biscoff brownie and a vegan icecream shake (4 choices of flavours, I had banana).

Vegan items clearly marked on the menu, vegetarian scotch egg was ok but sadly the sandwiches were pretty average and tasteless..

Good place to grab a sandwich, baguette, panini for lunch. Vegan options clearly marked, including cheese Outdoor seating in the market place. Soya milk is available although they can't do blended coffees, latte etc because the machine is filled with dairy milk. Very friendly staff Voir le carte

We visited today and we were so impressed. Lovely selection of filled panini focaccia . Great choice of cakes . The staff were very friendly and a special mention goes to Jake for his excellent service . It’s such a shame we live so...far away otherwise we would be regular customers but we will definitely be back!

We stumbled across this wonderful cafe and shop on a lovely sunny Saturday in January. It was very special to be able to sit outside in the sunshine, watching the busy Market and eating an amazing lunch. We had focaccia of different types, both which...very tasty and served with a salad. Our cake and coffee was good too, all served with a smile by a delightful young man Highly recommended and astounding value.!

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
