"Took the very last train of the seasonal Cheese Train from Montreux, which includes lunch at Le Chalet. This cozy little chalet restaurant has a huge copper vat of cheese cooking over a fire as the cheese chef is stirring and stirring over that open...fire. There is a whole ritual for all the restaurant to see, all the while the band is playing regional folk music. The cheese fondue is to die for very very good. The wine was good too! For dessert we had the decadent meringue with double cream. A walk through town will make you feel a bit better before getting back on the train back to Montreux."

Very nice experience, to do absolutely This boutique restaurant makes its own cheese (melted, raclette, etc. Typical warm atmosphere. Cheese making This is done in the restaurant over a wood fire. A must see.

We recently stopped here for lunch. It's in a shopping plaza of sorts right by a highway. Seeing it made my expectations rather low. Well what a surprise! The meals we had were excellent and we couldn't agree on who's was better. It is well worth a stop, just ignore the Coop across the parking lot. Voir le carte

A great traditional Swiss experience! Tasty local food made with a cheese which is made in front of your eyes! Great for kids and those interested in the traditional cheese making process! Very welcoming and lots to see including a model railway upstairs and...a cheese shop! Fab a must visit if in the area!

I have no idea how this place got its excellent rating. I am guessing tourists eating a fondue and enjoying the spectacular vista. The truth is, the fondue is below average, the bread is frozen industrial baguettes and you have to ask twice or thrice to get enough of it. The deserts are also industrial. Fondue médiocre, pain sous forme de baguette décongelée, desserts industriels, service moyen, bref, une étoile au mieux !

This is a great Swiss restaurant. A friend and I popped in one Saturday lunchtime and we were in time for the demonstration of cheese making. This was great fun to watch. The food was simple but tasty and I had a croque chalet which was tasty and filling and really excellent value. My friend had the cheese sandwich and this was very filling also. There is also a good selection of wines, which were good. Highly recommended. Voir le carte

3 of us came here for fondue. They specialize in beer fondue and it was delicious, and side salads were good too. We tried to finish but couldn’t. It was amazing and after some exercise to work off all that cheese and bread, we want to come back! On a tv screen is a repeating video of how they make the cheese. I think there are AM cheese making demonstrations, too. Swiss Raclette is also on the menu and looked good (others nearby had it , but we wanted fondue :

The restaurant offers a very good fondue and a pleasant, interactive cheesemaking demonstration during the lunchtime meal. Our lunch was part of the "Cheese Train" tour from Montreux and with a relatively large influx of diners at one time, the serving staff was a bit overwhelmed and the dining process, especially as pertaining to the tour, was not communicated at all. Once it was sorted out, the service was acceptable and the fondue, as I mentioned, was delicious and very filling.
