"Ich war zum ersten Mal hier, allerdings in Begleitung eines ehemaligen (mittlerweile ausgewanderten) Stammgastes der nach gut 20 Jahren zum ersten Mal wieder hier war. Dieser wurde mit Handschlag, Umarmung und Namensansprache begrüsst. So herzlich war der Empfang. Die Karte umfangreich und mit verschiedenen frei zusammenstellbaren Menüs auch gut strukturiert. Das Essen war ein Gedicht. Mehr kann und will ich hier gar nicht sagen. Ich kann micht nicht entsinnen wann ich das letzte Mal so gut gegessen habe. Vielleicht lag das an meiner Begleitung aber das glaube ich nicht, ich denke die können hier einfach gut kochen. Wenn ich nach Kritikpunkten suchen möchte dann ist das vielleicht das Ambiente das eher in die Richtung Deutsches Wirtshaus geht, aber ich muss zugeben ich weiß nicht ob das in Italien vielleicht genauso aussehen würde. Und ich hätte mir eher eine Art Ciabatta-Brot zur Caprese gewünscht aber die eigentlichen Mahlzeiten waren spitze. Ich werde dieses Restaurant sehr gerne weiterempfehlen und auch sicher sehr bald wieder aufsuchen."

"I had always heard amazing things about the food at Uwe Uli, so I was eager to try for myself on a visit from the UK it did not disappoint! Wow. You can tell every single dish is thought out and perfected, there was not one thing I wouldn’t try again. The service is impeccable, the staff are so attentive, and the food is delicious. I cannot wait to go back! Hopefully, there will be a Uwe Uli opening in the UK, one day!"

"After a stroll around the Hattsteinweiher pond, we were up for a hearty lunch, but the three of us could not decide what type of cuisine we were collectively in the mood for. Fortunately, Lava Restaurant was just a few hundred meters down the road from Hattsteinweiher Park. It is a great little restaurant catering to every taste with exquisite, reasonably-priced eclectic cuisine. I had a hankering for Schnitzel... any kind of Schnitzel... so I ordered Jaegerschnitzel smothered in creamy mushroom sauce. Loved every bite of it! My wife and cousin ordered Mediterranean pasta dishes, and they were equally pleased as well. The restaurant in situated in the front end of The Usingen Tennis Club amidst the beautiful countryside of Hattsteinweiher Park. There is plenty of parking and room for a post-Mittagessen Spaziergang to walk off some of the calories from a delicious meal. The restaurant is family-owned and hands-on in the operation of the restaurant. Needless, to say, the owner and the staff will bend over backwards to oblige the patrons. If you ever find yourself in the gorgeous hills and forests of Taunus, I wholeheartedly recommend a meal at Lava Restaurant! And if there in mid-May, please sample their Asparagus season menu."

"Auf der Speisekarte findet man kroatische Spezialitäten, deutsche Gerichte, verschiedene Salate und auch eine Auswahl für den kleinen Hunger. Die normalen Portionen sind recht groß und geschmacklich einwandfrei. Ich würde die Küche als gutbürgerlich beschreiben. Biertrinker haben die Wahl zwischen verschiedenen Fassbieren. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und auch Sonderwünsche und Beilagenänderungen werden bereitwillig angenommen."

"I'm living in Asia and enjoying good Japanese and Thai food almost daily. Visiting my mom, I came across this place. Went for lunch today and had a maki platter & Thai soup ... I know, strange combination! The sushi was for German standard good and most importantly not too much rice. Compared to Asian standard still mote, but ok. The Tom Kha Gai was more a Tom Yam Gai - bit the taste of the soup was all right. Just the chicken meat tasted a little overlooked.The service was prompt, interior nice and the price very reasonable. I'm happy to find a place like this in Neu-Anspach."
