"We arrive to a practically empty place, we ask to sit in the front, in the second row of tables to enjoy the sea view, but we are told no, that there are 3 tables available in the back... we sit down, we have the speaker playing music loud in your ears and you have to raise your voice to speak. We order 1 Ansonica €6, 1 Vermentino €6 and a London Mule €10. The Ansonica is totally odorless (I compare it with a glass of the same type of wine drunk afterwards in another place), the London Mule comes with hot gin and practically melted ice, a sort of gin with water to add the tonic in a bottle. A small bowl of chips, a bowl of almonds and a small cup of olives are also served."

Over time the approach of the bar has changed a bit, in past years we were more happy to go there to enjoy the anchovies with butter flakes while relaxing at the sight of the boats in the port. Something then changed in the philosophy of the bar starting from the volume of the music and the number of tables, going there is now less relaxing, the music is at a high volume (you struggle to converse) and getting up or sitting down is a bit like playing to Tetris!
