"The restaurant tavern “Curro Castilla” is frankly one of the best places I have experienced in Malaga. The restaurant is based in Avenida Sor Teresa Prat, near the Museo Automovilistico, and very close to the beach. So it makes a nice meal after some culture trip, or even lunch before chilling out on the beach. Spain is very diverse in history and gastronomy, and the fusion offered in this restaurant is just so delicately achieved. I highly recommend the “Bacalao al Pil-Pil” (pil-pil style cod) and the grated txangurro (grated spider crab in its own shell). In addition, you have plenty of locally produced delicacies such as baby lamb, cutlets, Cherry infused kidneys, and so on. Be sure to ask for details of any specials, which often do not appear on the menu. For the environmentally conscious, this restaurant has adopted a slow food concept, based on the use of local produce, with the option to take any remaining food home in a suitable take-away container (an option that is not so common in Spain so far). Besides an ample wine menu and well-qualified staff to advise on the best wine for your choice of meal, the menu is totally gluten-free, as this restaurant uses only corn flour and chickpea flour. Definitely worth a try!!"
