Family kebab luke warm, onions, tomato and mushroom went straight in the bin. Should of had green pepper's but none in there. Looked like dried pizza topping in the box.Shame used to be so good but terrible now, won't be ordering again. Only one star because can't post otherwise. "Myself and three relatives recently visited The First and Last Bistro in Ermington on two occasions over a seven day period. The first visit was for Sunday lunch and the second for an evening meal. On both visits the food and drink were very tasty and beautifully presented in smart surroundings. This is a family business run by skilled and committed people who clearly know what they are doing. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area."

"Despite living about 2 miles away, we 'd never actually been to the Ship Inn even though we 'd been recommended it several times. So when family came to visit us, we took the opportunity and went. It 's a lovely setting, in the village square, with a nice church opposite. We were spoilt for choice with the menu. My brother-in-law and mother-in-law both saying they could eat everything on the menu and were having a hard time picking. To cut a long story short, they both commented that the food was the best they had EVER eaten anywhere and that 's quite high praise from a 60yo and a 85yo who have eaten at their fair share of places in their lifetime. Suffice to say, we 'll be back. Update: We went back today, 13th August 2023, for sunday lunch and my wife commented that the menu was excellent and that the beef was absolutely perfect. The portion sizes are generous too. I can see us being very regular here!"

"Good stop off if visiting Dartmoor. Nicely decorated and room was spacious. Can bring dogs. Sleep quality ok, we were in a room by the gravel car park so with window open (as it was hot you can get disturbed by car noise plus privacy not great. Menu was ok but not a massive choice. If you have a dog with you, you need to eat in bar area (although breakfast you can take dog in to dining room ‍ Seating was a little uncomfortable here, as it’s window benches which aren’t ideal when eating a meal. Breakfast very good and served by really friendly guy. If bringing a dog there is a good walk 5 minutes away, but no grass area near pub or outside room for dog to be let out in the night if needed! Only thing to point out is CHECK YOUR BILL before leaving!! Annoyingly we trusted that we had been charged for what we had ordered we could see the bar lady tap in to the computer when we ordered drinks, but the bill showed a different drinks order. We had 1 wine and 2 beers but it was only after we had left and looked at bill and we had been charged for 3 beers and 2 wines!!"

"Excellent service with a friendly staff. The chicken tikka masala was not only delicious but also vibrant in color. The only thing we felt was lacking in our meal was a bit more chicken. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes and found ourselves wishing we had ordered even more. As for parking, there are limited spots available since it's a small main street area. We ordered takeout for dinner."

"Food wasn't on as they had a Christmas party booked, which was a shame as I was hungry and they'd not put anything on their media to say food was off. When I asked if Ithey had coke zero I was told yes, but he then got it from a bottle, rather than also telling me about the cheaper option of Pepsi max on tap, which I'd have preferred he'd already taken the top off the bottle and it was too late, when I them asked if they didn't have cola on tap. Poor crisp flavour choices. Steps up to the door, which isn't great for disabilities, but the hand rail definitely helped."
