We were taken here by family just 20 minutes outside of Verona in a magnificent hill region above the heat of Verona. This restaurant has an extraordinary chef and service you might expect from a top restaurant. The appetizer was their Gran piatto of four different seafoods: 3 grilled shrimp, capesante (scallop), fresh salmon, and grilled octopus. Fabulous! We then had maccheroncini with clams and mussels in a red sauce, which was perfection. We also shared an innovative potato and beet gnocchi in celery cream and baby calamari. We stayed 3 nights in this hotel because we attended the trade show Vinitaly. In the 3 nights we ate once in the restaurant. We had a junior suite. Room was spacious, with a walk in closet, big modern bathroom with a shower (no bathtub). Nights are very quite. The restaurant has a hight ceiling. In the center of the room is a open wood fireplace which can be seen from all sides due to the glass. The table for 2 people are around this fireplace. Chandeliers from the ceiling. A good mix of big tables (for families) and for couples. The food was very tasty. We had the spaghetti frutti di mare as first course and as main course risotto and the lamb.
