"We have been in n Italy for three weeks now and have had some amazing dining experiences. La Gattabuia is at the top of the list! The atmosphere is the first thing you experience. It has an understated elegance with several tucked away table that provide an intimate dining experience. The menu has several unique items that we haven’t seen elsewhere, which was nice after so many days of antipasti with salumi and formaggi. We ordered an appetizer of pumpkin blossoms lightly fried in a Japanese batter that were presented on a small bed of crème (crème fraiche? with two sauces. The presentation was beautiful and the taste, divine! This came after a gift of marinated pineapple with crushed peppercorn and the most delicious little bread bites that I can’t begin to describe in a way that will do them justice. My husband and I both ordered only a primi dish of pasta (a segundi would have been too much food for us . Both dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. While the waiter was competent and professional, the service of the man who was bussing the tables was outstanding. He was personable, professional, and very observant-arriving at the table mere moments after plates or other items needed to be cleared. It’s not often that I write reviews, but La Gattabuia was impressive enough for me to make the time."

Ottimo ristorante in centro a Matera. Personale gentile, disponibile e competente. Piatti curati nell'impiattamento e molto saporiti, ottimi direi. Il pane fatto in casa è davvero eccezionale. Tornerò volentieri ogni volta che ne avrò la possibilità. Bravi!!! Voir le carte

Ristorante meraviglioso, e consigliatissimo! I piatti non solo sono ottimi e con ingredienti locali e di alta qualità, ma sono anche ricercati e originali. Personale davvero professionale e attento, e allo stesso tempo sono accoglienti e simpaticissimi. Siamo stati davvero benissimo e ritorneremo!
