"We went for lunch on a Monday afternoon in August. Lovely setting, and great spot for families as the resort has a nice strip of beach (surprisingly quiet when we were there) and is well setup to cater for children. As a couple, we had been tempted by the websites lovely pictures of their sophisticated AQUA cocktail bar. Unfortunately, despite the hours shown on the A4 printout on the window telling me it was open at lunchtime, it was not in use (no cushions on the furniture). Oh well, straight to lunch without a preliminary drink then. The outside terrace of the restaurant is lovely, with plenty of seating, all of it shaded by the massive covered roof. Great views of the lake, too. A bit on the slow side to get us seated, but thereafter service was fairly good. The menu is quite expensive, but all sounded great. We chose to share the raw shellfish platter to start. Now, I love fresh seafood, but the only time I have done it raw (other than oysters, anyway) is in a top class sushi restaurant in London, or up on the far west coast of Scotland, where it goes straight from boat to mouth. So, I was interested to see how it went. I have to say, it was a big letdown, though I guess it is at least half my own fault. We got 3 sicilian red prawns, two oysters and two langoustines for our 20€, all raw on ice, with a slice of lemon. I did not enjoy my oyster much it had a yucky sticky slimy texture inside it (I eat a lot of fresh oysters, so I am not describing the normal texture of any oyster here, this one had a sort of slimy paste inside). It was edible, but not very enjoyable. My wife 's oyster was, she said, OK, so I guess I just got unlucky. Neither of us liked the texture of the raw sicilian prawns. They looked nice, and they had been very elegantly prepared just a bit of she 'll left on the tail to hold, and the head to remove, but then straight in the mouth. They had pretty much no flavour, and being raw the texture is either something you like or you don 't I don 't, unless it is served with some kind of salty dressing like soy, the squeeze of lemon just didn 't do much for me (or the prawns). The langoustines were better, but still very neutral in taste. Basically, I shouldn 't have ordered them, as they were simply not very interesting, even though they were clearly nice and fresh. For my main, I ordered the maltagliata pasta with lobster and tomato sauce. This arrived as a reasonable amount of pasta with a few bits of fresh tomato flesh, a dribble of 'sauce ' and half of one large, bit badly shattered and cooked to death lobster claw. It was frankly very poor. Flavour was OK, but what little meat there was was dry and hard, and without proper seafood fork, largely inaccessible. Worse, the chefs ham fisted attempts to break the claw into pieces had clearly been done in situ over the saucepan, as there were numerous small shards of hard, sharp she 'll all through the dish. Idiotic! My wife had a good dish of gnocchi with sepia and truffles. Not a very generous portion, but tasty and we 'll cooked. We had a bottle of laragosta frizz ate a 5€ wine in the supermarket, being sold at 14€ here, which I think is OK, given the prices they charge for the food the location. All in all, I thought they could have done a lot better for the prices they charge: a bit of optional seasoning for the raw shellfish (soy/was a bit would have worked well but even just a salt pepper and oil dressing would have helped); a lot more care and attention to the lobster pasta (and a bit of white meat would have helped too) and maybe 10% larger portion sizes. If they 'd done those things I might have been raving about the experience but as it was, I wouldn 't return, and I can 't really recommend it."
