"Ho negoziato con un mese di anticipo il pranzo nuziale con menu fisso, purtroppo. Considerato il numero alquanto ridotto di commensali 12 avrei preferito che ognuno ordini a la carte, ma la manager Barbara Favretto ci ha detto che non si poteva fare e che il menu fisso era il modo per garantire un pranzo di successo. Ultime parole famose. Il pranzo purtroppo è stato alquanto deludente nonosrante il menu proposto, tra l 'altro il più caro di tutti, quindi figuriamoci il resto ! Pasta dura, capesante asciutte ed un filetto di pesce spada asciutissimo e duro servito in un piatto nero hanno creato molte facce sconcertate tra i commensali che hanno cercato di nascondere l 'imbarazzo per rispetto agli sposi. La chicca è stato il sorbetto al limone tanto decantato dalla manager: un pezzo di ghiaccio servito in un bicchierino di plastica usa e getta; un cucchiaino più pesante del bicchiere e del contenuto hanno forzato tutti a consumarlo tenendolo in mano come una coppetta di gelato durante una passeggiata sul lungomare. Alla fine si è inevitabilmente capovolto sul tavolo. Il tutto è stata una esperienza vergognosa. La manager , spero solo una temp, non è nemmeno venuta a chiedere, durante il pranzo e tanto meno al saldo del conto, se tutto fosse andato bene. Servizio non esistente, cibo alquanto deludente, presentazione povera. Purtroppo i matrimoni non si possono rifare e la responsabilità del ristoratore giustifica i prezzi, ma le pecche e gli errori clamorosi sono stati al livello della più bassa trattoria di borgo. Purtroppo quello che è successo rimarrà nelle memorie di tutti per il resto dei nostri giorni. La manager ha fallito clamorosamente comunicando con lo chef, verificando la presentazione di ogni portata o assaggiando i piatti in anticipo, cose standard in ogni ristorante di livello in queste stesse situazioni. Queste cose ovviamente non sono accadute, infatti la manager e stata vista impegnata a vendere fumo a prospetti clienti/vittime. La nostra unica consolazione è che l 'anno prossimo abbiamo gia deciso di tornare a Trieste per festeggiare il primo anniversario ed andare tutti da Pepi, dove in ogni categoria, tutto è stato migliore alla prima visita non annunciata ed un gruppo di simili dimensioni. La mancia che hanno ricevuto poi, ancora se la ricordano. Ben guadagnata."

"We came here following a friend 's recommendation. We live in the area, but we had told him that we usually drive to Rimini (La Tiresia), if we really want to have the perfect meat . He said: Try Sardoc and then you decide if you still need to drive to Rimini. Ok. We arrived for dinner with no reservation and had to find out that they were preparing for a reception with more than 100 people. No reservation, 100 people ... I was almost already on my way back to the car, but the friendly waitress asked us: ' Do you mind if you may have to wait a little longer for your dishes than usual? Of course, we didn 't mind. It turned out that they treated us like Queens/Kings, although they had to handle the function in parallel. At the end of the evening, we almost felt like family members. Now about the food: We had local soup, pasta and salad. All fresh, delicious and generous. Then the meat. ... The best Fiorentrina I have ever had in my life! Period. Accompanied by a wonderful house red, and all at absolutely reasonable prices. We had the pleasure/honor to see the service team pleasing the 100+ guests almost in front of us. No one was ever left alone or not being served on time. We, as guests with no reservation, were never left out of the service chain. The owner, Mr. Sardoc, and his wife, even personally checked if we had been happy with the dishes, especially the meat. We do not like stiff Michelin Star atmosphere. We love top quality down to earth food. Therefore, we are very happy we (or better our friend Luigi Candida of Portopiccolo) found this restaurant: We will have to drive to Rimini less, and we will come back here very soon. It is a Carso style restaurant, a little bit in the mountains. But if you like this kind of appearance, you can 't be wrong. I seldom use the word amazing . Here, from the bottom of my heart, I say: Amazing!"
