Such a great place for dinner! Pasta was as good as any we've eaten in Italy, and the portions are *very* generous! Highly recommend the seafood risotto special. Delicious!

Once again, we had an incredible experience celebrating my mother's birthday with the family at this restaurant. The food was exceptional and we always receive excellent care whenever we visit.

We had a lovely evening with friends, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was plentiful and delicious. The service by the waiting staff was fantastic. I would highly recommend and we will be booking to come back.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of 9 of us in total. Staff very accommodating and helpful in serving us all what we wanted. Food is delicious as always and I love been able to take home leftovers to have the next day.

Amazing food and service, friendly warm atmosphere. The food does the talking you will not be disappointed. Good gluten free choices even calling a few days in advance to check they where very helpful and reassured they always have GF options. Just book and go find this gem for your selves. But I can cook that at home…not like this you can’t 10/10

We visit La Anchor regularly for family occasions and it’s one of our favourite places. It’s ideal for my mum who is coeliac lots of gluten free options. We recently visited as a large group to celebrate a big birthday and everything about it was seamless. All the food came out at the same time no mean feat when there’s 20 people to serve!! The food was delicious, bar service very fast and service in general amazing. The waiting staff couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and attentive. Thank you to all for a lovely meal and a wonderful afternoon/evening.

Visited when staying locally. Restaurant was very lively early on and we were glad we had booked in advance. Good choice of dishes including specials. Some vegetarian choices but staff seemed happy to make alterations to dishes. Most members of the party had lasagne (both beef and vegetarian) and these were considered excellent with very good sized portions. The pasta dishes also went down very well with the party. The puddings were superb and were double the size normally served in restaurants (ice cream was huge). All were delicious. Overall very good experience and a nice way to start our holiday with the family.

One thing I have to point out is that you should go here hungry, the portions are very large to say the least. The food is all home cooked and piping hot, err nuclear hot lol. Traditional Italian food pasta pizza etc, but a lot of other choices on the specials board at reasonable prices Good selection of drinks at the bar. Still full today, in fact our daughter has just had the last of her pasta meal for lunch as they will pack up anything you cant eat and want to take home Popular so book up Will be back very soon

The food and service at this restaurant are impeccable. It is the best Italian food we have ever had at a restaurant. We typically order starter portions as our main course because the portions here are very generous. Our favorite dishes are the pasta dishes, while my husband always enjoys the calamari which is consistently cooked to perfection. The only downside we found was the noise level, especially when large family parties came in. However, there is not much that can be done about that. The service is top-notch, with quick service for all three courses.
