La Alcazaba - Menu

We happened on this restaurant whilst walking Called Rock. Two Menu's del Dias, we opted for the 12€ three courses with wine, bread, alioli and a amuse bouche! The mussels in lemon were delicious as was the fish soup. The pork chop was succulent and grilled salmon perfect. All served by a friendly and helpful waiter.

Manuel and his team provide great quality, friendly service and limitless quantities of lovely food. The parillada (mixed grill) is a feast fit for a king as either meat or fish. The pizzas are fantastic and the serrano to die for. VFM written all over it. We spend about 10 weeks a year in Calpe and come here about twice a week now. Looking forward to the next time

Have visited several times. Very good value menu of the day with a huge plate of fresh grilled fish or choice of paellas, plus starter and bottle of wine. We chose pizzas this evening which range from 7 euros. Very good, delicious toppings and a thin base, plus a jug of sangria. The table next door had tuna steak. I have never seen such an enormous portion Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough 10/10

We visited this restaurant twice during a February visit to Calpe. The service was excellent and the pizzas we ordered were great. Price is fair and the quality of the food is as good as you could expect from a restaurant in this price range. Would definitely recommend this for a family lunch stop. Only complaint was when we sat outside in a good weather the people around us were smoking, which is not child friendly. However, I guess that is the norm in Spain.

This brand new restaurant will become a must in Calp. We visited La Alcazaba as we were not convinced by the tourist trap restaurants located in the port area. Definitely we will repeat as the price ratio is excellent, quality of the food was really good. We selected the meet menu parrillada de carne for 15eur per person. We were advised to select 4 menus for 5 people, and definitely he advise was really accurate as we quantity and quality was perfect. We are convinced that in our next visit to Calp this restaurant will be in the top listed.

We visited this restaurant as we were looking for a pizzeria and this seemed nice. Service was fast and very polite, until the pizzas arrived. We had ordered the same pizzas but they were completely different! One was very fresh, straight from the oven and tasted very good. The other was a complete disaster. It was obviously old and had been put in the oven one more time. They didn’t even look the same. After we told the waiter he had a look at the pizza and declared that nothing was wrong with it. We showed him the difference but he ignored to notice it. This behaviour really put me off! Finally he offered a new pizza but my hunger had gone. If they can serve old pizzas, trying to save 9€,...

We have just returned from a short break in Calpe. Being early season we found that most of the restarants closed early evening. We found the menus in the restaurants that were open to be uninspiring and quite expensive. Then one evening we came across La Alcazaba which is located at the end of promenade from the Old Town. When we first ate here, it had been open about a month and had heard from a few people how good the service was so decided to try it out. Our first visit we were most impressed by the greeting we had and the choice offered menu wise. Lovely setting on a street ideal for people watching, close to the beach and lovely view over Calpe and the mountains. The menu has a good range.
